Crafty Birds: Finding Calm in the Christmas Chaos

That moment when someone mentions Christmas… and your brain just logs off.
Anyone else feel personally attacked by how close Christmas is? 😅

For the grinches, the stressers, the overthinkers, the organisers who pour so much into making Christmas magical — only to realise somewhere along the way, the joy has quietly slipped out the back door.

Our November Crafty Birds group is a gentle invitation to pause and create space for gratitude.
We’ll craft symbols of gratitude and connection — the things that outlast the chaos.

Come join us for connection, creativity, and a little calm before the Christmas storm.

📅 Monday 17 November, 7–9pm
📍 Bluebird Psychology, Castle Hill
👩‍🎨 Facilitated by Psychologist Josie Winter, Artist Jay Wassell, and Art Therapist Imojjen Hunnam

This month, our Crafty Birds gathering invites you to explore self-perception through the slow, grounding practice of clay work. As your hands shape the form, you’ll have space to notice the stories you hold about yourself — and perhaps re-mould them with more kindness and curiosity.

You don’t need to be “artistic” — just willing to play, reflect, and connect in good company.

We’re excited to share that One Hundred Cups of Tea is now available for purchase at Bluebird!

This beautiful book is written by Katrina Jeffs and beautifully illustrated by our very own art therapist, Imojjen Hunnam (Elmer). We are loving Katrina's sweet and gentle storyline about discovering the beauty of ordinary moments and the value of connection, and Imojjen's delightfully, warm and cosy illustrations.

Next time you’re visiting Bluebird, take a moment to pick up a copy!

Art can be a powerful tool for reflection and healing.
Meet Imojjen, our Art Therapist at Bluebird! Art therapy is about using creativity to explore emotions, process experiences, and express things that can be hard to put into words.
In individual art therapy sessions with Imojjen, you’ll find a safe and supportive space to:
- Explore your feelings through creativity
- Reduce stress and build resilience
- Reflect on your experiences with guidance
- Discover new ways of self-expression and healing
You don’t need any art skills — just an openness to try. Sessions are available at Bluebird Psychology in Castle Hill.
