As a woman, I often reflect on how fortunate I have been to meet some truly incredible women along my journey. Women who supported me, believed in me, lifted me when I was down, and shaped me into the person I am today.
When I started my career, I had one clear thought in mind—I wanted to do something meaningful in life. I was ambitious, full of dreams, and ready to work hard. Very early in my career, by the grace of God, I was blessed with opportunities and entrusted with responsibilities at a young age.
But success comes with its own challenges.
There were days when the responsibilities felt overwhelming. There were days when I didn't feel like venturing out, attending meetings, or venturing anywhere. Yet I knew that if I wanted to grow, I had to keep moving forward. Staying updated, building connections, and showing up mattered.
I remember traveling alone on public transport, navigating the city, attending events, and stepping into rooms where I had to constantly prove myself. It wasn’t always easy. But every experience made me stronger, more confident, and more resilient.
Along the way, I realized something important: growth is never a solo journey. The women who supported me gave their time, their guidance, and their belief in me without expecting anything in return.
And that reflects this year’s International Women’s Day theme: “Give to Gain.”
When women support other women, share opportunities, mentor, and uplift one another, we don’t lose anything—we gain stronger communities, more confident leaders, and a better future.
Today, I am grateful for every woman who helped me grow. Their support reminds me that success becomes even more meaningful when we use it to uplift others.
With every passing day, I strive to become a better version of myself—learning, growing, and hopefully giving back the same encouragement that once helped me move forward.
Here’s to women who rise by lifting others. 🌸
