Here at Sunrise Assisted living we are welcoming application for an on-call support worker to fill in on days needed, this position is a casual flexible requirement that may be one or two days per week as required with a potential of more hours if required.
Our support worker task will include the following duties.
To assists participants to reach their goals or to support their independence in daily tasks. They have a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Supporting NDIS participants to implement their therapy plans, so that they may fast-track achievement of goals or improve outcomes.
Helping participants to implement skills learnt through allied health support.
Providing physical support which may include helping with household tasks and personal care such a showering, getting dressed and feeding.
Providing emotional support for the participant and their families.
Supporting and helping with health care needs, including routine checks.
Encouraging and supporting the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
Teaching life skills such as shopping, using public transport and paying for bills.
Working with other healthcare professionals to ensure that all care needs meet the highest possible standards.

A must have prior to Sunrise helping you become a certified Support worker are as follows:
* Open current driver's license
* Current Police clearance.
