Happy 2 year Wildflower anniversary Elise! 🌻

Over the past two years, you have brought so much kindness, generosity, and warmth to our team. Whether it’s supporting those around you, sharing one of your incredible baked creations, or simply showing up with your caring nature, you make Wildflower a better place to be.

Thank you for all that you do and for the beautiful person you are. We’re so grateful to have you as part of the Wildflower team.

There is still a lot we don’t know about the upcoming Thriving Kids reforms, and with that uncertainty can come a lot of questions for families.

Our goal is to help make sense of what is changing, what support systems may look like moving forward, and what practical steps families can take now.

Most importantly, we want to help families make informed decisions, advocate for their children, and feel supported as the landscape continues to evolve.

When people think about progress, they often imagine big breakthroughs.

But more often than not, progress looks quieter than that.

It looks like setting a boundary.
Taking a break.
Asking for help.
Leaving work on time.
Choosing rest over guilt.

Small moments that might not look like much from the outside, but can represent enormous shifts on the inside.

These are the wins we celebrate.

Because change doesn’t always happen in one defining moment.Sometimes it happens in hundreds of tiny ones. 🌿

Social Skills don’t come naturally to every child.

Some children want to connect but aren’t sure how to join in, start conversations, read social cues, or navigate the ups and downs that come with friendships.

Our 5-week play-based group program for our littlest ones (ages 3.5–5), is designed to help children build the foundations of connection in a way that feels fun, safe, and pressure-free.

Across the 5 weeks, our team uses sensory play, structured activities, and guided group experiences to help your child:
💛 Engage with peers, take turns, and enjoy group play
🎨 Practice patience, sharing, and the gentle social rules of being with others
🫶 Build the confidence to join in, not just watch from the side
👐 Strengthen regulation through hands-on, sensory-rich learning

And because parents play a huge part in extending these skills at home, you’ll receive education and support throughout the program too, so the learning keeps growing long after the group wraps up. Because the earliest social experiences shape how a child sees themselves in the world for years to come. 🌸

📅 Commencing Wednesday 29th July 2026

Who would’ve thought such a simple activity could have so many benefits? This is your sign not to overcomplicate it, sometimes the basic activities are exactly what our kids need ✨

That I was trying harder than anyone knew.
That my brain was different, not broken.
That the way I learn just needed to look a little different.

The words you use about me become the words I use about myself.

Words are not small things. Not to a child who is still deciding who they are. 💛

Here’s what we know: the best clinicians we’ve ever worked with aren’t leaving the profession.

They’re leaving the version of it that asked them to choose between doing the work properly and being a whole person while they did it.

At Wildflower, we don’t ask clinicians to make that choice. The team genuinely collaborates. There’s time to think, not just churn. Neuro-affirming care is practised properly, not performed. And the people doing the work matter as much as the work itself.
If any of this is sitting close to home, we’d love to hear from you. 🌿

We’re hiring Occupational Therapists and Psychologists.

Apply via the link in bio, or send us a DM if you’d like to chat first. 💛

A few wise words from our clinic dog, Murphy. 🐾

He doesn’t have a degree.
He hasn’t read the books.
He’s never once filled in an intake form.

But he knows things. Quiet, instinctive things that the rest of us spend years in therapy trying to remember.

Things like rest without guilt.
Move your body when the feelings get stuck.
Greet the people you love like you haven’t seen them in a hundred years.
Not everyone deserves access to your peace.
And sometimes, the most regulated thing you can do is shake it off and lie in a sunny spot until you feel like a person again.

We talk a lot about nervous system regulation here at Wildflower. About co-regulation. About slowing down enough to listen to what the body is asking for. 🌿

Turns out Murphy has been quietly teaching us all of it, one tail wag at a time.

Save this for the days the toddler in your nervous system needs reminding. 💛

Nobody saw the toast crusts being cut off the way she likes them.

Nobody saw the specific water bottle being found, the seam in the sock being smoothed out, the deep breath taken in the laundry before walking back out.

Nobody saw the mental tally of who needs what, by when, and what mood they’re in this morning.

But it happened. It’s been happening every morning for years.

This Mother’s Day, we wanted to honour the parts of mothering that nobody sees. The quiet, repetitive, thankless labour that holds a family together long before anyone has even brushed their teeth.

And while we honour the mums today, we also want to gently hold the truth that Mother’s Day is layered. 🌿

To the mum mothering through exhaustion, grief, or burnout.

To the mum advocating for a child the system keeps overlooking.

To the mum who lost her own mum, and is mothering without her this year.

To the woman who longs to be a mum and is finding today particularly tender.

To the one whose relationship with her mother is complicated, painful, or quietly grieved.

To the mum who isn’t a biological mum but mothers fiercely anyway.

To the bonus mums, the step mums, the aunties, the chosen family, and the mother figures who fill in the spaces other people leave behind.

We see you. All of you.
Today, and every day. 🌸
