Apologies in advance for the phone issues this morning. Christine's flight back from Bali was cancelled and then the follow on flight was delayed, so she won't be back on the phone till about 10am ish.

Christine has been away again today and it seems likely she might be gone for the rest of the week. There is no one else to answer the phone so please use the online booking system at https://drjimsharplesclinic.com.au.

Please DO NOT try to use facebook comments as we do not check them.

If you did an online booking and you do not receive a booking confirmation message, then for some reason it didn't go through. All bookings are reviewed manually and confirmed, it is not an automated system, but actually a person double checking the bookings.

So there has been a bunch of people not being available for their Telehealth appointments.

If you booked the appointment, it is your responsibility to be available, with your phone nearby with good signal, up to half an hour before and after the appointment time.

If you are on another call, assuming it is not an actual emergency, please tell them that you will ring them back, and answer the clinic call.

It is not our job to chase you down for not answering the phone for your own appointment that you booked!

In fact, from now on, missing Telehealth appointments will be treated the same way as missed in-person appointments, and warning letters will go out.

Two warnings is "game over" and you will be asked to find a new clinic.

Just to clarify, the clinic is actually closed till the 2nd January. I have seen a few booking for what looks like urgent problems.

You will need to present to an ED sorry, to get those things seen to, I am currently on holiday.

I have heard from Christine that there have been rumblings in the waiting room about the current wait times.

Generally I remain on time, and work hard to stay that way, however with the Xmas rush we have had a lot of urgent and emergency extras over and above a fully booked schedule.

I don't think 15 to 20 minute wait times, which are not usual for us, are too much to ask, so please be a little patient, we are trying our best.
