Planning your pregnancy scans around Christmas? 🎄

With Christmas just around the corner, our Nuchal scan appointments will fill quickly! If you’re due for your Nuchal Translucency scan over the Christmas period, please call and book early to secure your appointment spot before our clinic closes for the holidays. Morphology scans have a little more flexibility, but we’ll still have limited availability.

Tamworth Medical Imaging is proud to participate in the Australian National Lung Cancer Screening Program (NLCSP), a vital new government initiative designed to detect lung cancer early, before symptoms appear.

Through this program, eligible Australians aged 50 to 70 who currently smoke, or who have quit smoking within the past 15 years, can access a low-dose CT (LDCT) scan. Lung cancer screenings performed at our clinic are fully bulk billed, non-invasive, and only takes between 10-15 minutes.

If you think you might be eligible, talk to your GP about a referral for the National Lung Cancer Screening Program, because early detection saves lives.

Appointments for Nuchal translucency scans fill quickly at this time of year, so we recommend booking well in advance to secure your spot before our Christmas closure. Please ensure you have a valid referral when booking.

Morphology scans are also in high demand with slightly more flexibility, booking your appointment early is still advised.

💗 Regular breast self-exams, clinical examinations, and breast imaging are key to the early detection of breast cancer.

Everyday moments — like showering, getting dressed or applying lotion are opportunities to check how your breasts normally look and feel. Remember to include your whole breast area, armpits and up to your collarbone.

If you notice a new lump, thickening, or any change in shape, size, skin or ni**le appearance, see your GP without delay.

If you’ve received a valid referral from your healthcare provider you have the freedom to choose which radiology provider you would like to have your imaging with, regardless of the referral branding. This means you can have your scan performed at your desired radiology practice (like us!) without needing a new referral.
