Recovering from an ACL injury takes time, consistency and the right progression, not just for the knee, but for your strength, movement and confidence too.

Our ACL Rehab Classes are designed to support every stage of recovery with guided rehab focused on:
- Strength training
- Balance & stability
- Running progression
- Jump & landing mechanics
- Change of direction drills
- Return-to-sport testing

Whether you’re post-op, managing a non-surgical ACL injury, or preparing to return to sport, our sessions are built to help you progress safely and confidently in a supportive environment.

To join the class, an initial assessment with one of our EPs is required, preferably with Brydie who runs the class, to ensure the program is tailored appropriately to your stage of recovery.

On Friday morning, our Director, Owner & Exercise Physiologist Hollie, Exercise Physiologist Amy, and Social Media Manager & Endurance Running Coach Daniel set off on a 25-hour adventure - tackling 355km as part of a team relay in the Race The Sun 🌅🏃‍♂️🔥

They were joined by friends Hugh, Conor and Stew as runners, along with Carmen, Laura and our very own Massage Therapist Jacqui as the all-important support crew 🙌

We were incredibly proud to sponsor the team and support such an epic challenge filled with teamwork, resilience and plenty of unforgettable moments.

Thank you to for also supporting the team and a big thank you to everyone who reached out with words of encouragement before, during and after the event.

Did you know your gut and brain are constantly communicating? 🧠↔️🦠

Your digestive system does much more than process food. Signals between the gut and brain can influence mood, appetite, stress levels, energy, and overall wellbeing.

That’s why stress, anxiety, poor sleep, and busy lifestyles can sometimes show up as physical gut symptoms like:
• bloating
• nausea
• stomach pain
• diarrhoea or constipation

And importantly - this doesn’t mean your symptoms are “all in your head.” The gut-brain connection is real, complex, and incredibly important.

When it comes to gut health, food is only one piece of the puzzle. A dietitian can help you understand how nutrition, lifestyle, stress, routines, and gut sensitivity may all interact to affect your symptoms - while helping you build practical and sustainable strategies that actually fit your life.

Your gut is always talking. The question is: are you listening? 👀

Max had an above-knee amputation in June 2025 and began his rehab journey at Kinetic Lab with our Physio Jaye in December 2025. Since then, he has attended every single week and has been working incredibly hard on his strength, balance, and gait training.

This video shows Max’s journey so far…beginning with earlier footage using his 4WW, followed by the amazing progress he’s made walking without it.

We are currently waiting on approval for a microprocessor knee, which will further improve his mobility, confidence, and overall function.

Our goal is to help Max walk confidently and independently so he can continue enjoying life out in the community.

We’re so proud of how far he’s come 👏

A lot of people experience gut symptoms for years without really understanding why. Often, they’ve had scopes or tests come back saying “everything looks normal” - but they still don’t feel their best.

Gut symptoms can be influenced by many factors including:
- Specific foods
- Eating patterns
- Stress & anxiety
- Gut sensitivity
- Food intolerances

One of the biggest misconceptions is that the answer is simply cutting out more and more foods. While elimination diets can sometimes help identify trigger foods, the goal should always be to reintroduce foods where possible - because long-term restriction (especially entire food groups) can often create more problems than solutions.

Working with a dietitian can help you investigate your symptoms properly, identify what may be contributing to your discomfort, and build a plan that’s realistic, sustainable, and evidence-based. Sometimes the issue takes time to uncover, and other times, we can identify key triggers in the very first consult.

If your gut has been trying to tell you something, it may be time to listen - chat with our dietitian Megan >>> www.kineticlab.com.au

Last night we tested the athletes using our VALD ForceDecks, Dynamo, and SmartSpeed Timing Gates.

The purpose of testing is to build a clear performance profile of each athlete - measuring speed, power, strength, movement efficiency, and asymmetries. This data helps guide smarter programming, track progress over time, reduce injury risk, and ensure athletes are developing the physical qualities needed for netball performance.

Excited to see the growth across the season. Thanks for having us, Tamworth Netball.

Have you injured your hamstring during a game of weekend sport?

Hamstring rehab should be more than just resting until the pain settles. Most reinjuries happen because athletes return to running and sport without rebuilding the qualities that actually matter - strength, sprint capacity, power, and confidence under load. A comprehensive rehab program should progressively expose the hamstring to the demands of sport again, not just chase short-term pain relief. Acting early is also important, because delays in starting the right rehab can lead to further loss of strength and capacity, making the return-to-sport process longer and more frustrating.

In this post we’ve included 3 examples of what a comprehensive hamstring rehab program can look like, along with how we use daily questionnaires to monitor symptoms, loading, and progression throughout the rehab process. Tracking objective and subjective markers consistently helps guide decision-making, adjust training loads, and keep athletes progressing safely back to performance.

Examples 1 & 3 are programs from week 1 - created immediately after these athletes injured their hamstrings during weekend sport. Example 2 is from week 2, showing how rehab can progressively build from the initial phase as symptoms settle and capacity improves. The goal for all 3 athletes isn’t just to return to sport, but to progressively rebuild strength, sprint capacity, and resilience so they come back not only rehabbed, but hopefully stronger than before.
