We are proud to celebrate Debra Maslen, our Chief Executive Officer, and Maree Nawer, our Nurse Unit Manager, who have been recognised as finalists in the Innovation and Excellence Award as part of the 2025 Ramsay Way Awards.

Debra and Maree led the successful introduction of My Emergency Doctor, a telemedicine service that gives our regional teams direct access to emergency specialists after hours. Their leadership strengthened patient safety, reduced unplanned transfers and provided greater support and reassurance for both nursing teams and Accredited Practitioners. They navigated technical challenges, built trust across stakeholders and created clear, practical processes that made the new model work.

We also congratulate Maryanne Georges from Strathfield Private Hospital, this year’s award winner and Dalia Moreno Medina from Ramsay Clinic Northside, the other runner up in this category.

This is a significant achievement for Tamara Private Hospital and a reflection of Debra and Maree’s commitment to better care for our regional community. Congratulations to both of you.

We’re proud to now offer laparoscopic gastric bypass surgery right here at Tamara Private Hospital – giving our community more choice, closer to home.
