Burke and Douglas Funerals is part of a network of funeral homes, cremation facilities and cemeteries owned by Propel Funeral Partners, which extends to all states of Australia, the Australian Capital Territory and New Zealand. Listed on the Australian Securities Exchange, Propel Funeral Partners is one of the largest providers of funeral and related services in Australia and New Zealand. Burke and Douglas Funerals began operating in 2019 when Tamworth’s two oldest Funeral Homes merged together to create one large firm to care for our community. The business is now managed and run by Paul Brooks. We still boast the most caring, understanding and sympathetic staff who will carry out the wishes of our clients to the best of their ability. We are aware that we only get one chance to carry out the wishes of each client and with this in mind we attend to every arrangement and funeral in detail. We treat all our deceased with the utmost dignity and privacy, as though they were family. Burke and Douglas Funerals is a member of the Australian Funeral Directors Association, an association which has represented professional funeral directors throughout Australia since 1935. The Australian Funeral Directors Association requires its members to abide by a code of ethics, designed to ensure quality premises, facilities and professional staff, thus ensuring the public a high standard of service. Our mortuary care is of the highest standard. We are completely open to all our customers, guiding them through the arranging process and informing them of costs and options involved. So continue with us and let us carry out yours and your loved ones wishes. Our phone will be answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
