This young lady popped out of the nest this morning. A much different feather to the few earlier bubs I have posted. She has abundant shoulder strength like the previous chicks but a much looser feather texture. Unfortunately she is an only chick from the pair, so I hope the next round is more productive.

A few normals are popping out of the nests now. All with soft feather, good feather flow and plenty of meat and potatoes in the shoulder to carry the faces I like. Breeding a number of normals each season, with no grey factor in them gives you plenty of options for future breeding. There is nothing wrong with good grey and grey greens, but I keep there use to a minimum.

I’m getting a few more baby light greens through their first moults. The light green sticking in colour and looks good in most of the varieties. These came out of light green to single factor grey greens.

It takes the pressure off to be see the not gunna use aviary, empty. They have gone to new homes, and hopefully they do well for their new owners. I let many of the older birds go that have done well for me, I am out my faith in the youngsters to keep Progressing. Time will tell if it is the right decision.
I prefer to have personal visitors so they can see the relationships of the birds that are available. Most importantly they can see in the flesh what is available and make their decisions based on that. A bit old school I know!
