To our community,
As you may be aware last week, Dr Rae was involved in a car accident and terribly her daughter, Grace, passed away. In these times it is so important for us to rally around a member of our community. We are offering Dr Rae a number of different supports in this time. There has also been a GoFundMe set up to support Dr Rae. If you are able to, any support there will be immense as she navigates through this situation. You can find the GoFundMe here - https://www.gofundme.com/f/funeral-and-after-grace-funds
Moving forward, Dr Rae has asked that we respect her privacy and that people do not reach out to her direct at present. If you have a message you wish to pass onto her, please post it as a comment here.
All our love and support goes out to Dr Rae and her family at this time.

Hi my name is Bec and I’m fundraising on behalf of my friend Rae, who has tragically… Rebecca McGoldrick needs your support for Funeral and After Grace Funds

Easy Veggie Mug Recipe

Great easy Breakfast, Lunch or even Quick snack.

Ingredients
Cooking spray or 1 teaspoon oil*
2 tablespoons grated cheddar cheese (reduced fat if available)
2 eggs
2 tablespoons milk*
1 cup vegetables* (e.g., capsicum, tomatoes, mushroom, zucchini, spinach, corn, peas, spring onion)
Pepper to taste

Recipe from the Healthy Eating Active Living NSW web site.

Method
1. Dice the vegetables by chopping them into bite sized pieces, ensuring they are all roughly the same size.

2. Use a cheese grater to grate the cheese.

3. Lightly oil a mug by either spraying the mug with oil or adding a teaspoon of oil to the mug, swirl it around up the sides of the mug and tip out any excess oil.

4. Add the eggs and milk to the mug and mix them together using a fork. Stir in the cheese, diced vegetables and sprinkle with pepper.

5. Microwave the mug on high for 2 minutes, removing from the microwave and stirring every 30 seconds with a fork until the egg is fully cooked. (Note: cooking times may vary depending on the power of the microwave).

6. Remove mug from the microwave and option to sprinkle with more pepper.

*Hint: You can use any of these cooking oils: olive oil, canola oil, vegetable oil. A cooking oil spray works well if it is available. Use milk of your choice in this recipe or replace milk with water. Use any fresh, frozen or canned vegetables in this recipe. If using frozen vegetables, be sure to thaw beforehand.

Did you know Drinking water and staying Hydrated can help you get more out of your adjustment?'

Staying well-hydrated is crucial for muscle and joint health. Drinking plenty of water before and after adjustments can help your body flush out toxins and improve joint lubrication.

Chiropractic Myth
My Bones Are Cracking
The pops and cracks you hear during an adjustment are not your bones cracking or rubbing together. (You actually have spongy discs in between your bones to prevent this from happening, as it’s extremely painful!)

The sounds you hear are actually pockets of air or gas within the synovial fluid that collapse (think of it as bubble wrap!) as a side effect of the adjustment. When a chiropractor adjusts the alignment of your joints, these pockets of air rapidly collapse and cause that distinct sound.

Lack of motivation and/or energy is a massive Barrier when trying to exercise.

A great Tip - Plan ahead by keeping sneakers in the car or at work, because if you stop at home to change, you may find the couch instead. Schedule physical activity for specific times/days, and “check” it off your list or calendar each time you complete it. Determine what time of day you feel more energetic, and try to fit the activity into that time frame. Join an exercise group or class and seek others in the group to help motivate you and keep you accountable for attending.

Keep in mind that taking that first step, cycle, or pose is often the hardest part, but once you’re moving, your lack of motivation should fade. Even short bouts of activity can reduce stress and improve mood.
