We rebuilt our website with the same thinking we use in our day-to-day work: keep it clear, keep it structured, and don’t make people work harder than they need to.

Many people land on disability service websites already tired. Trying to work out "Is this for me?" without decoding jargon or reading a novel.

So we approached this differently.

Confusing systems become barriers. We didn't want to add to that.

Sara brings a calm, thoughtful approach to Support Coordination and Recovery Coaching, with a focus on clarity, pacing, and practical follow-through.

With a background in Psychological Science, Sara works particularly well when there is a lot to juggle, decisions feel hard to land, or the plan is not translating into day-to-day life. She supports people to make sense of options without being rushed or pushed.

Sara supports people across 𝗧𝗮𝗺𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 and surrounding areas and is currently taking a small number of new participants.

The Kooty Country Show is a much-loved event created specifically for people with disability, happening during the Tamworth Country Music Festival at Kootingal Bowling Club.

This year is extra special - it’s being hosted by Shelley Minson, who many of you know as a long-time advocate and one of our Heart Worx support workers 💙

There’s also a very special country music guest appearing on the day... and while we can’t say who just yet, it’s a big one.

𝗡𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗮 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗦, 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗵𝗮𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝘁.

Tired of re-explaining themselves.

We see this every January- and honestly, all year round.

In plans, reports, and conversations, this often gets labelled as “disengagement” or “low motivation”.

𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘯, 𝘪𝘵’𝘴 𝘢 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘭𝘰𝘢𝘥.
When support takes more energy than it gives back, people don’t complain- they conserve.
Not because they don’t care.
𝘉𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺’𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘢𝘥𝘢𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘮𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘢𝘥𝘢𝘱𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮.

This isn’t a motivation issue.
And it’s not a personal failing.

𝘐𝘵’𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘴𝘶𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴𝘯’𝘵 𝘧𝘪𝘵 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦.

Sharing this resource in case it’s helpful for somebody 💙

It doesn’t ask people to reset their life, set big goals, or suddenly feel different because the calendar changed.

It works with how real brains actually work- tiny wins help interrupt automatic unhelpful thoughts.

They give the brain evidence that something is still moving.

They build momentum without pressure.

We’ve used tools like this ourselves, and we see them help participants and carers too- especially when energy, motivation, or capacity is low.

Tiny wins still count.

And they add up 🌱

Kylie brings a warm, grounded presence - calm in busy moments and thoughtful in the quiet ones. Her approach is respectful, curious, and 𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘶𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯 𝘪𝘯 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘩𝘦𝘳.

She also draws on lived experience supporting a family member with significant communication needs, alongside work across varied disability caseloads. This has shaped her practice into something practical, patient, and 𝘥𝘦𝘦𝘱𝘭𝘺 𝘩𝘶𝘮𝘢𝘯.

Over the past few weeks she’s quietly onboarded her first participants, and the transition has been really positive. Kylie supports people across 𝗧𝗮𝗺𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮, with flexibility for surrounding areas.

She’s a strong fit for people who feel overwhelmed by the system, experience appointment anxiety, or prefer 𝘢 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘮𝘦𝘳 𝘳𝘩𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘮 when working through tasks and decisions.

Kylie now has room for a small number of new participants and is ready to begin supporting them.

December hits differently when you live with disability, psychosocial disability, chronic illness, trauma histories or neurodivergence.
Not because you're negative - but because your body is quietly running a marathon while everyone else seems to be jogging toward “holiday mode”.

More sensory load.
More routine changes.
More fatigue spikes.
More executive load.
More everything, basically… except capacity.

For many disabled people, the hardest part isn’t Christmas Day- it’s the slow burn of the lead-up, when the world gets louder and your system goes “yeah… no”.
