The Kooty Country Show is a much-loved event created specifically for people with disability, happening during the Tamworth Country Music Festival at Kootingal Bowling Club.

This year is extra special - itโ€™s being hosted by Shelley Minson, who many of you know as a long-time advocate and one of our Heart Worx support workers ๐Ÿ’™

Thereโ€™s also a very special country music guest appearing on the day... and while we canโ€™t say who just yet, itโ€™s a big one.

It doesnโ€™t ask people to reset their life, set big goals, or suddenly feel different because the calendar changed.

It works with how real brains actually work- tiny wins help interrupt automatic unhelpful thoughts.

They give the brain evidence that something is still moving.

They build momentum without pressure.

Weโ€™ve used tools like this ourselves, and we see them help participants and carers too- especially when energy, motivation, or capacity is low.

Tiny wins still count.

Over the past few weeks sheโ€™s quietly onboarded her first participants, and the transition has been really positive. Kylie supports people across ๐—ง๐—ฎ๐—บ๐˜„๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐˜๐—ต ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐— ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ถ๐—น๐—น๐—ฎ, with flexibility for surrounding areas.

Sheโ€™s a strong fit for people who feel overwhelmed by the system, experience appointment anxiety, or prefer ๐˜ข ๐˜ค๐˜ข๐˜ญ๐˜ฎ๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ ๐˜ณ๐˜ฉ๐˜บ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ฎ when working through tasks and decisions.
