Meet residents David and Narelle. This is their journey into retirement at Tamworth Gardens.
My husband & I never thought we would end up living in a Retirement Village.
I have a medical condition that doesn't allow me to do what I want or need to do and my husband had a health issue where he wasn't able to do anything for six weeks.
We were struggling to keep up with the house, large lawns & gardens we had.
We both started to wonder what we would do as we were getting older. We started asking ourselves what could we do?
We didn't want to burden our children, and we still had a lot of living to do. We wanted to be able to do some travelling as well.
We knew if we sold our family home, we only want to move once.
I decided to come and have a look at Tamworth Gardens Retirement Village.
We were very impressed with the Villas available and the Community Centre when we saw them.
After that, we did some more research and visited other Retirement Villages around Tamworth.
We went straight back to Tamworth Gardens and put a deposit down on the Villa.
The Villa's are well built, and the Community Centre has everything you need.
We particularly love the outlook onto the River. It is very tranquil, and a gated community at night is so quiet... a total feeling of security.
We absolutely love living here! We couldn't imagine living anywhere else now.
Our lifestyle is unbelievable here. You can be involved as little or as much as you like with the different Events and Activities we have here.
It's such a calm, relaxing life, and we are both so surprised by how quickly we have come to love living here.
It's definitely the security, lifestyle, and beautiful people that live here that make it what it is.
