We’re excited to have Occupational Therapist Britt join us.

Originally from Tenterfield and now a Tamworth local, Britt has a background in Exercise Physiology before completing her Masters of Occupational Therapy. Her passion for rural health care aligns perfectly with our mission, and she has quickly become a valued member of our team.

Britt's clinical interests include paediatrics and basic home/equipment modifications, with plans to expand her skills into upper limb therapy and lymphoedema management.

✨ Save the Date – September 10th! ✨

National Stroke Week takes place during the first full week of September, an important time to raise awareness about stroke and the early signs to look out for.

We’ll be hosting an information session at our clinic, open to clients, their supports, caregivers, medical colleagues, and fellow allied health professionals. Stroke remains one of the leading causes of death and disability in Australia, and bringing our community together to share knowledge is a meaningful step in improving outcomes.

We’re excited to share that our newest OT Brit has just started her graduate role with us at Compass! 🎉

After a 6-week placement supervised by our fantastic senior OT Alyssa—and with the chance to work alongside our Allied Health team— she got a valuable sneak peek into our practice and built strong connections with the Compass crew and clients along the way. 🤝

Programs like this, along with our Allied Health Assistant (AHA) role and final year student initiatives (we’ve supported 7 students through placements already this year!), are all about building skills, confidence, and supporting the next generation of rural health professionals🌾 🚗 👩‍🎓

Our Compass therapists have hit the road this week, with school visits back in full swing and trips to Narrabri, Gunnedah, Armidale, Quirindi, Manilla, Barraba and beyond!
