Ayurvedic head massage involves the application of warm, herbalised oil to your head, neck, and shoulders. Also known as Shiro abhyangam, this treatment contributes to the relaxation of both body and mind.

The oil is selected according to your condition and applied using specific massage techniques and gentle marma applications.

The application of warm herbalised oil plays a major role in Ayurvedic treatment. Ayurvedic head massage is one of the various methods in Ayurveda that involve the application of oil to the head for a fixed duration of time.

Happy Onam!

Onam is the ten-day harvest festival celebrated in Kerala. On the tenth day, Thiruvonam (today), we celebrate with a sadhya for lunch.

Sadhya is a variety of vegetarian dishes served on a banana leaf and eaten with the hand. The dishes are served on specific places on the banana leaf in a particular order as guided by tradition.

The sadhya follows the Ayurvedic principle of shad rasa (six tastes). Ayurveda believes that a perfect meal should have a balance of sweet, sour, salty, bitter, pungent and astringent. The balancing of these six tastes promotes equilibrium and a sense of wellbeing in mind and body afterwards.

This Nettipattam is a new addition to our clinic. It was handmade in Kerala by Master Biju’s aunty.

Nettipattam is a symbol of Kerala’s rich cultural heritage. While traditionally used in temple festivals, hanging a Nettipattam in the home is believed to invite positive energy.

Beyond its visual appeal, each element in the design carries a symbolic meaning. The elements represent: Moolaganapati, Trimurtis, Saraswati, Lakshmi, Parvati, Saptarishis, Vishwamitra, Vishwakarma, Navagrahas, and Ashtavasus.
