Wrists and hands can be impacted by many different types of arthritis, causing pain, swelling and stiffness.

People with arthritis in their hands and wrists often find their grip weakens and it becomes harder to do fine movements, such as turning a key or tying shoelaces - making everyday tasks challenging.

Whether it's adapting your workspace, using assistive devices, or practicing self-care techniques, there are many ways to alleviate wrist and hand arthritis symptoms and maintain functionality.

A ground-breaking research report authored by leading experts in women's health reveals that, contrary to some public messages, one in four mid-life women (45-64 years) report no substantial impact on their daily lives from symptoms they attribute to menopause.

However, the report also shows an equal proportion report that these symptoms have a substantial impact on their daily lives.

Report co-author and CEO of Jean Hailes for Women’s Health, Dr Sarah White, said in a world that often categorizes experiences into neat boxes, it's essential to recognise that menopause is far from a one-size-fits-all affair.

Wet weather can be persistent, and so can the mould in your home.

Although most common types of mould are not dangerous to humans, some may:

👉 Cause coughs, congestion, runny nose, eye irritation, headache, or skin irritation.
👉 Trigger allergic reactions such as asthma or hay fever.
👉 Seriously affect those who are immunocompromised or have respiratory disease.

To prevent mould from growing around your house, remember to ventilate, heat, and insulate.
