Thinking about having kids one day?

The impact of va**ng on male fertility isn’t fully known yet but that doesn’t mean it’s harmless. Vapes contain hundreds of chemicals, some known to damage DNA and affect s***m health, much like to***co smoke.

Va**ng might be marketed as “safer” than smoking, but safer doesn’t mean safe. Anything that harms your health can also affect your fertility.

If having kids is something you want in the future, looking after your body now matters. Quitting va**ng is one way to protect it.

You don’t need a full life overhaul to start looking after your health.

Just a few intentional choices, like booking a GP check-up, asking the right questions, and acting early instead of “waiting it out”.

Put your health first in 2026.

🔥 Extreme heat is gripping much of Australia this week – with soaring temperatures and serious risks for those who are older, unwell, or isolated.

Did you know 1 in 5 Australians are highly vulnerable to heatwaves, especially on days above 35°C? But together, we can make a difference.
✅ Make a plan: Know how you’ll stay cool and safe
✅ Stock up: Water, food, medications—and don’t forget your pets!
✅ Check in: Look out for family, friends, and neighbours who may be vulnerable

Heatwaves cause more deaths than any other natural hazard in Australia. Let’s change that.

Are you travelling soon? Measles is spreading in many countries.

If you were born after 1966, check your vaccination record to see whether you’ve had two doses of the MMR vaccine, and get protected before you leave.

Extreme heat can make you feel unwell and may lead to dangerous heat-related illnesses. Symptoms of heat-related illnesses include dizziness, headaches, nausea, thirst, or vomiting.

To stay safe, drink plenty of water and avoid going outside during the hottest parts of the day. Check in on loved ones regularly, especially older adults and pregnant people. Keep cool indoors with a fan or air-conditioner.

Remember to wear light-coloured, loose-fitting clothing and, if you’re going outside, wear a hat, sunglasses and plenty of SPF 50+ sunscreen.

‘There is no such thing as a safe tan’ .
It is hard to throw stones when I grew up in the 80’s/90’s where we all thought a tan was healthy BUT there is now irrefutable evidence now that sunbaking and sunburn are extremely dangerous. Every week our doctors diagnose and excise multiple skin cancers. Please don’t be fooled by social media and its trends.
Slip, slip, slap and seek shade and a skin check!
