Which one resonates with you most?

Well we have good news, it doesn’t always have to be this way!

Working on our relationship with food is definitely full of highs and lows. The lows are especially common when social media is saturated with diet trends, ‘what I eat in a day’ posts and just super unachievable ways of eating/living 🙃

One of the easiest tips I can give is to clean up your social media feed 🧹

We are incredibly influenced by what we see! Even if we try not to be. So:

👋 Unfollow accounts and hashtags that portray unhealthy food and exercise relationships.
⏰ Keep an eye on how long you are scrolling on social media for each day. It’s often the first app we open and it’s one of the easiest places to get stuck in a negative mindset 🙇‍♀️

We all know it’s not just these ‘3 foods’ keeping you lean. If it was as simple as that the diet industry wouldn’t be valued at hundreds of billions of dollars. But sure, let’s eat those 3 foods and magically look exactly like you!

As crazy as these posts can be, it’s hard not to get hooked in and believe it.. 🙇‍♀️ Just always try to remind yourself that you are only seeing 5-10 seconds of someone’s ‘life’ and this ‘life’ is edited specifically for you to see.

Social media is absolutely NOT a reflection of their real life. 🙅🏻‍♀️

The festive season can bring a lot of food related worry along with it..

As hard as it is, try not to stress.
These are the 3 main reminders I give to my clients when they ask how to ‘tackle’ the holiday season 🎉

🎄 Worried you’ll drink too much? Well make sure you stay hydrated with water!

🎄Worried you’ll over eat at Christmas lunch or dinner? Well make sure you eat some normal meals during the day leading up to it. This way you wont arrive to a meal ravenous and risk ‘over eating’.

🎄 If all else fails, make sure to, at the very least, have something for breakfast! Set your day up properly every single time. Regardless of what the day before or day ahead looks like, have your breakfast 🤞
