Commenting on someone’s body gives the idea that weight (or a certain ‘look’) equates to health. This just isn’t true.

➡️ Weight loss doesn’t automatically mean someone is healthier
➡️ Weight gain doesn’t automatically mean someone is less healthy

You can’t assume someone’s health just by looking at them. Health is so much more complex than that.. it shouldn’t be reduced to a certain ‘look’.

Healthy looks different for every body. And remember, what’s going on on the outside, doesn’t tell us anything about what’s going on on the inside 💚

Do any of these sound familiar to you? 😳

Chronic dieting and under-eating takes its toll on your body! It might not be super obvious in the moment, but there will be signs 🪧and these can lead to long term health conditions.

We (nutritionists) might harp on about eating enough, but it’s for a very good reason. We want your body to be functioning at its best (both now and in the future)💚

Save this post for 5 gentle nutrition tips! 💚

In nutrition we are ALWAYS trying to add variety into our diet. The focus very rarely needs to be on eliminating or restricting food groups (unless it’s allergy/intolerance related).

These tips are a great reminder on where to shift the focus.

▶️ How do certain foods make you feel? Eg bloated, sluggish, energised

▶️ What could you ADD to your next meal to help you feel your best?

▶️ Are you eating often enough each day?

▶️ Are you including all food groups in your meals or are you restricting?

▶️ What could you add to your meal to make it more satisfying?

Yes, nutrition requires a lot of reflective questions 💭

Hands up if you are a routine meal skipper! 🙋‍♀️

➡️ Do you run out of time for breakfast?

➡️ Did you get distracted and work through lunch?

➡️ Are you purposely skipping meals to save on calories?

Skipping meals comes with its own list of side effects that don’t serve us well in the long run. Our bodies thrive off regular nutrition and eating to feel your best should always be priority 🙌
