Exactly 1 year ago today my clinic was inundated with water. I am only one of many hundreds in our area who were directly impacted by the monumental 2025 flood that caused so much devastation to our community. My thoughts are still with those who were affected. In the River Arcade the daily reminders are there with bare frames still the normal with restoration work not yet started in the empty shops. We live in a resilient community but I hope we never see that happen again.

Wishing all the mum’s a wonderful Mother’s Day today. These are the very special people in my life who made me a mum and who I love dearly. This photo was taken less than 12 months after I opened my clinic and in the 12 years since I have had the pleasure of watching them grow into young adults and sit and wonder where the years have gone!

Vital Physio will be closed Thursday and Friday this week as I will be supporting my son at the Australian Athletics Championships. I will reopen again on Monday 13th April.

For those of you who were lucky enough to meet my son Lachlan while he was working with me over the summer, you might be interested to hear that Lachlan finished 3rd in the men’s discus at the NSW Open Championships on the weekend. A great achievement for him at a state level event. A very proud mum here.

Moving forward into April there are 2 National events that Lachlan will be competing in. Firstly the Australian Athletics Championships in Sydney and then Uni Nationals on the Gold Coast. This means that during April I will be taking some much needed time off to put my supportive mum hat on and watch him compete at the highest level on home soil.

Due to these 2 events and 3 public holidays in April it will mean that there will be very limited appointments available and some people will be waiting until May to be seen. This is regrettable but unavoidable.

I appreciate the support shown to me and your understanding as I navigate a very busy workload as well as family life as a working mum.

Due to family commitments Vital Physio will be closed from 2.00pm Thursday 12th March as well as Friday 13th March. I will reopen on Monday 16th March to prebooked appointments.

Ten weeks ago today I closed my clinic door on what was a very wet Monday. Little did I know that less than 36 hours later the Manning River would be a very unwelcome visitor to my clinic and lead to devastation to so many in our area. I have always felt I was one of the lucky ones with a low level of inundation as well as being fortunate to temporarily move my clinic to enable me to keep working. Today I have officially moved back to my clinic after a long 10 weeks. Ahhhh it feels so nice to be back.
