Active Independence Support Services is offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated and compassionate individual to commence a full-time traineeship in a dual role combining NDIS administration and direct support work.
This is the perfect entry point into the disability and community services sector, providing hands-on experience while completing a nationally recognised qualification.
About the Traineeship
β’ In this structured traineeship, you will learn to deliver high-quality NDIS supports while gaining practical experience across administration, participant coordination and community-based support
β’ You will be supported by experienced staff and receive on-the-job training while working towards a qualification in Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability)
Key Responsibilities (with Training Provided)
β’ Assist with day-to-day supports for NDIS participants in line with their plans and goals
β’ Support onboarding of new participants, including documentation and service agreements
β’ Learn to schedule and manage participant bookings and staff rosters
β’ Maintain accurate client records and case notes under supervision
β’ Communicate with participants, families and service providers
β’ Provide supervised community-based support, including transport and social engagement
β’ Support participants to build independence, confidence and wellbeing
β’ Assist with reception duties and general administration tasks
About You
β’ A genuine interest in working in the disability and community services sector
β’ Strong communication and willingness to learn
β’ Basic computer skills and attention to detail
β’ Positive attitude, reliability and professionalism
β’ Ability to work as part of a team and take direction
β’ Compassionate, patient and respectful approach to supporting others
Essential Requirements
β’ Current Driverβs Licence (or working towards obtaining)
β’ Willingness to obtain:
β’ NDIS Worker Screening Check
β’ Working With Children Check
β’ First Aid & CPR Certificate
