Active Independence Support Services is offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated and compassionate individual to commence a full-time traineeship in a dual role combining NDIS administration and direct support work.
This is the perfect entry point into the disability and community services sector, providing hands-on experience while completing a nationally recognised qualification.
About the Traineeship
• In this structured traineeship, you will learn to deliver high-quality NDIS supports while gaining practical experience across administration, participant coordination and community-based support
• You will be supported by experienced staff and receive on-the-job training while working towards a qualification in Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability)
Key Responsibilities (with Training Provided)
• Assist with day-to-day supports for NDIS participants in line with their plans and goals
• Support onboarding of new participants, including documentation and service agreements
• Learn to schedule and manage participant bookings and staff rosters
• Maintain accurate client records and case notes under supervision
• Communicate with participants, families and service providers
• Provide supervised community-based support, including transport and social engagement
• Support participants to build independence, confidence and wellbeing
• Assist with reception duties and general administration tasks
About You
• A genuine interest in working in the disability and community services sector
• Strong communication and willingness to learn
• Basic computer skills and attention to detail
• Positive attitude, reliability and professionalism
• Ability to work as part of a team and take direction
• Compassionate, patient and respectful approach to supporting others
Essential Requirements
• Current Driver’s Licence (or working towards obtaining)
• Willingness to obtain:
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Working With Children Check
• First Aid & CPR Certificate
