Hello rowers.

Many of you are keen to get back on the water but before you do be sure you are aware of the state of the river.

As you can see from the photos the beach is not in a good way. There is a safer spot to boat from just down stream of the beach. Take a moment to walk down and plan where you will boat from. Be sure you can enter the water safely. There are several big holes and slippery parts to avoid.

Downstream on the Cundletown bank, about 250m upstream from the 2km start or 500m upstream of the wires there is a large tree stuck in the mud a few metres out from the bank. Be aware of this when rowing back towards the boatshed.

And for now avoid going any further upstream of the Sailo’s.

We have been through a lot as a club over the last 6yrs with the destruction of the 2019 storm, the bushfires, pandemic and several floods. Each time we come back stronger than ever.

Remember you can aid the recovery by making a tax deductible donation through the Australian Sports Foundation link below set up by . This fund goes towards rebuilding the Manning River Rowing Club and beyond that will be the beginning of an ongoing relief fund for rowing communities affected by natural disasters.
