We are sure you have heard of the passing of our member Maurie Stack OAM. This is a hard post to write, trying to capture just a slice of the amazing work Maurie did as a very proud Rotarian is hard. There is so much to recount, so many people helped, so much work in our local community and global community achieved.
Maurie was a driving force, a man that inspired others, a man of vision.

Since joining the Rotary Club of Taree on Manning, NSW, in 2000, Maurie has served as club President, District Governor, and was Chair of The Rotary Foundation Australia, Chair of the Election Review Committee of Rotary International and a member of both the Arch Klumph Society and Bequest Society.

Maurie has worked to benefit fire victims, flood victims and our community working for our Riverstage and the Australian Children’s Music Foundation (ACMF) a concert he attended so recently.

All of our members will miss him enormously. Our thoughts go especially to our member, Maurie’s wife De and his children and grandchildren.

The service will be held at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, 75 Albert St, Taree at 10am, Saturday December 13th, 2025.

For anyone unable to attend, there will be a livestream of the service.
Details will be available on Becker’s Funeral Service website soon.
