it’s been a reflective week hasn’t it !

To mark the 12 month flood date our members set up a table at the Coastline Credit Union in Taree, selling merchandise, with proceeds going to those that are still recovering from May 2025

🌟 This weeks special guest for our Breakfast meeting was Donna Douglas from Donna’s Kitchen , an incredibly supportive organisation who spoke about providing home cooked meals for those doing it tough

⭐️ President Monika Hansen presented Donna with an appreciation certificate in thanks for her early morning visit !

We have had some wonderful breakfast speakers recently and today was no exception !

💡Mark Hardy from Mackie Electric & Refrigeration - Mackies shared his knowledge today ,

We now know :
✅ Mackies were established in 1956! so they are celebrating 70 years of service to this community!

✅ they employ more than 70 employees, including Taree, Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour.

✅ that makes them deeply connected to all in the manning valley

Manning Valley Rotary's lunch time meeting featured our guest Robert Bolt from San Juan Rotary Club in Puerto Rico 🇵🇷
Rob gave us an insight into his Rotary Club and an interesting view of Puerto Rico. And we're working on becoming a Sister Rotary Club !

Rob is visiting as his family farm is on Glenthorne and currently working to restore it post flood

⭐️ Today at Manning Valley Rotary we
had the pleasure of Bob Nelson from Wingham Rotary as our guest speaker.

🌟 He spoke about the Sleep Inn Bus, and let us know the official opening of the Bus will be on 28th of March at 12 midday at the Council Chambers Carpark.

The 2026 international women’s day lunch at Club Old Bar was a true celebration of the strength of women to support others, uplift community , step in when there are no other options , and to always strive for change ! Our guest speaker Caroline Bromhead was an inspiration, receiving a standing ovation for her story of resilience. Congratulations to Rhonda Futterleib for running the fabulous panel session with Alison Penfold, Mark Hardy, nicholson and ambour all sharing their source of strength over the past 12 months. Thank you lewis for being the outstanding MC and reminding us of our favourite dance moves !!
