Maria over the weekend returned to Bringing Smiles to Life for her very first visit of 2026, and was absolutely priviledged to observe the learning journey of Tilly our Barrington Tops Brumby Filly at two years old doing her very first "dance" with our Farrier. 💥💥💥watch this space💥💥💥
Maria has BiG plans for the year ahead, hoping to take on a Vetinary Placement to complement her studies with School and Tafe - and what a great addition she will be to any Practise, fortunate enough to have her.

Probs my worst ever video - but Oh; so Special! Heatwave conditions here at Bringing Smiles to Life this weekend..Evie indulged in some simple little water play with Fred today, keeping them both cool. What Evie says at the end of the vid is beautiful, and very telling. "The feeling of being calm with the horses" Speaks straight to the heart of why this work matters. Thats the essence of HeartMath - with Horses. The nervous systems syncing, with heart rythms settling, while that quiet wordless healing takes place. It often looks subtle from the outside but the impact runs deep. Moments like these remind us the magic is not so mysterious ~ its relational, embodied, deeply felt. A tender glimpse into a healing space . 🐴

Bringing Smiles to Life was really impressed with Adam's horsemanship skills - 💥
The last time we had an Equine Dentist out Fred really played up, and had to be sedated. Today; though a little quiet time an gentle massage with Adam; and it was all over before you knew it..
Fred ~ Happy Horse. No sedation at all. 🖤🦄🩶

Meet Pep'a my GSD. Pep'a is a mostly helpful sidekick, and on good days one of Tilly's best friends. Today Pep is enjoying a bit of "doona therapy" because not everyday is a great day -
And that is absolutely ok. 🌲
At BSL our goal is to support individuals in improving their quality of life by building self-confidence. You'l develop a toolkit of skills for emotional regulation, helping anxiety ease along the way.🦄

With 2026 ready to roll >>>

This to me still feels enormously dumb to admit; 😅 but when I was kid - a little while ago :))
I desperately wanted a Zebra.!

Guess what >>> ???
My parents never got me one.

They did however, get me horses when I was a teenager. First was Amber a beautiful Taffy filly, and then Barney. Who was a total legend, a good ole Australian stockhorse.

I was fortunate to do Pony Club, an even won a few ribbons along the way.

But what I really want you know is 💥"if"💥 you've ever considered getting a "brumby" then just jump right off the edge an do it! (Closest thing I could find to a Zebra in 60 years - and I could take it home)

Their fresh, brilliant and exciting.!
Tilly - out of Barrington Tops. My Brumby - with s***k to go...has been a total delight.

At Bringing Smiles to Life where this year is winding down to close, its been really fresh having Evie come onboard. Ive enjoyed observing Evie navigate her way through a variety of activities ~ Building horemanship skills and growing confidence for doing life along the way.
Looking forward to the adventure of 2026.
