Some thank-yous are too special to be left unsaid, even after Christmas. 💜

Since 2019, the incredible Killabakh community has been collecting Christmas gifts every year for Dundaloo participants. What began with donated presents for local children has grown into a beautiful tradition of generosity that now brightens Christmas morning for many people we support, especially those who may not have family to celebrate with.

Each year, the community gathers gifts at their annual Christmas singalong, then delivers them to Dundaloo in time for Santa’s visit. The joy, surprise and excitement on participants’ faces when they see presents under the tree is truly priceless, and it means more than words can say.

To everyone in the Killabakh community who has donated, organised, wrapped or delivered a gift over the past four years – thank you. Your kindness continues to make Christmas feel magical and reminds our participants that their community cares about them. 🎄✨

Colour, smiles, and so much fun! 🌈

Last week, Dundaloo participants joined the All Abilities Colour Run at Taree Rec Grounds to celebrate International Day of People with Disability. From walking, wheeling and running the Criterium Track to dancing along with Ngarralinyi radio and enjoying a BBQ lunch thanks to the Rotary Club of Taree, everyone got involved in their own way and at their own pace.

Events like this bring our community together and highlight what inclusion really looks like – people of all ages and abilities sharing laughs, getting active, and being celebrated. A big thank you to MidCoast Council and all partners for creating such a welcoming, accessible and joy-filled day.
