Happy Fathers' Day - "to all the superheroes"... today we celebrate the laughter and the playfulness that you bring into your child's world to help settle their fears and boost their confidence.
Thank you!

We say "superheroes" because there are so many different ways "Dads" come (and go) from our lives; grandfathers, stepfathers, father-figures, uncles, older brothers, teachers, coaches, or friends.

Sutherland Shire Council has extended an invitation to people with disability, their families, and carers living in the Sutherland Shire to participate in the Access and Inclusion Survey. It's online until Tuesday 31 August. They are seeking feedback to inform the 2022-26 Disability Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP).

A friend of mine, 3x Olympic athlete Chris Morgan shared his story with ABC this week - highlighting that neurodiversity, with the right supports, doesn't need to hold you back from achieving your goals.

After a week back in clinic, the reflections from Camp Jabiru are still emerging. Our senior OTs were part of the 100 strong team of OTs/students helping 130 kids/teens enjoy a holiday camp experience with a difference 😎 watching friendships, independence, and self-awareness develop throughout the week was a privilege.

COVID19 UPDATE
From this week, our team will be masking up when physical distancing is not possible within our sessions. Yor can still see our "smiling eyes" and hear our "playful voices" behind our brightly coloured masks. Please reach out if you believe a picture or video from your OT might help you/your child become familiar with seeing the OT wearing their mask.
