Our Story
Dr Kieran Forster first completed a Bachelor of Arts in moral / political and Continental philosophy as well as an honours degree in law. He then completed his medical degree at University of Qld in 2000 and started work in general medicine before training in Psychiatry.
He is a professional artist (painting), professional in the sense of a vocation as an artist who sells his work publicly and exhibits his work. He considers psychiatry as the ground level intersection of the Arts and the Sciences, and thus continues to write commentary on the many points of cross-fertilisation between science, medicine and art. He is interested in the emerging science of mind / body medicine, sleep, creativity, spirituality, psycho-sociology and technological psychiatry.
Dr Forster specialises in Adult ADD / ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders / Aspergers and Intellectual disability psychiatry. His practice is focused on a smaller number of patients to allow deeper engagement in facilitating self-realisation (achieving one’s authentic life goals) in an atmosphere of collaboration and mentoring.
