Tarneit Family Medical And Dental Centre Welcomes Physiotherapist Poonamdeep Kaur.

Poonamdeep Kaur is an experienced physiotherapist with over 12 years of expertise in musculoskeletal care. She holds a bachelors of physiotherapy and a masters degree in physiotherapy (orthopedics). Poonam has a keen interest in spinal pain and tendon injuries, ensuring comprehensive care for a wide range of conditions. She utilizes specialised techniques to manage these concerns and integrates dry needling into her treatments. Additionally, she has a strong passion for children’s, both men’s and women’s health, with a particular focus on pelvic health, incontinence, and pregnancy-related conditions.

She provides expert treatment:
- Musculoskeletal physiotherapy including strains, sprains and ligament injuries.
- Shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee and ankle joint pain and injuries.
- Orthopedic pre and post operatives rehabilitation.
- Workplace, road traffic injuries (TAC), NDIS.

Humphrey Wong, the principal dietitian of 211 Nutrition, has a profound passion for empowering individuals and the community to achieve their optimal health goals through personalised nutrition treatment. He pursued clinical practices at prestigious healthcare institutions, where he honed his skills in clinical nutrition assessment, diagnosis, personalised dietary advice, and evidenced-based nutrition treatments.

Armed with diverse clinical experiences, Humphrey has consistently demonstrated his dietetics expertise in managing Type 1 / 2 / gestational diabetes, Overweight, Malnutrition, Food intolerance and a diverse caseload of chronic health conditions such as chronic kidney disease (CKD), Irritable bowels syndrome (IBS), Inflammatory bowels disease (IBD), Diverticular disease, Oncogenic conditions, Fatty liver, Hypertension, Hypercholesterolemia and Dyslipidemia.

IMPORTANT ANNOUCEMENT!

From the 01.10.2024 we have implemented a DNA Fee Policy.

Tarneit Family Medical and Dental Centre now has a DNA policy in place whereby patients who fail to attend appointments will incur a fee of $30.00.

A minimum of 8 hours’ notice is required for all appointments. However, we do understand emergencies can arise.

Tarneit Family Medical and Dental Centre uses SMS reminders as a convenient way to remind you the day before of your appointment details. This service is a courtesy only and not receiving your SMS reminder is not a valid reason to miss your appointment.
It is your responsibility to be aware of your appointment details, and to arrive on time or reschedule with sufficient notice.

Tarneit Family Medical and Dental Centre reserves the right to request these fees are paid in full before another appointment can be made. You may also be limited in the way you can book in the future for repeat, serious offenders.

In some exciting news we are pleased to announce we have teamed up with the Wyndham City Council to provide Maternal & Child Health Services once a week from our clinic.

The Maternal and Child Health (MCH) is a free service available for all Victorian families with children from birth to school age, regardless of Medicare or visa status.

The MCH team can help you and your child stay healthy and safe from when your child is born until they start kindergarten.

The MCH team provides different types of support, including:

- Maternal and Child Health Key Age and Stage (KAS) visits
- Breastfeeding Support
- Sleep and Settling program
- Enhanced MCH program for families who may need extra support
- Groups for new parents
- Referrals and connections to local support services

To ensure each family across Wyndham have access to the information from the MCH services, they have developed the below tool. It's a video that you can interact with by clicking on different options. By using this tool, you can learn about your child's growth and development between the ages of four months to four years.
