Tatura Hospital and Parkvilla Aged Care Facility have recently welcomed new faces as part of training and development across GV Health.

Graduate nurse Ebony Woolstencroft has commenced her first rotation as part of the 2026 Registered Nurse Graduate Program, gaining hands-on experience in aged care.

We also welcome GoTAFE student nurses Isabella Barton and Courtney Miller, who are completing a two-week aged care placement at Parkvilla.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part in the 100 Lap Challenge at the Tatura Swimming Pool on 28 February! 🙌🏻🥇 Congratulations to Joseph Conte, Alicia Wiffen, Scott Montgomery and Jill Clapperton who each completed the full 100 laps individually.

Parkvilla residents were on theme for St Patrick's Day on March 17. As well as dressing up, they enjoyed cooking and activities based around the day.

Their enthusiasm quickly spread, with staff and family members also dressing up.

A free and confidential sexual and reproductive health clinic for women of all ages is running at Tatura Community House from 10am to 2pm.

The first clinic was held earlier this month, with more upcoming dates available:

💙 February is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month 💙

The Tatura team showed their support by wearing teal and enjoying some teal-coloured cupcakes to help raise awareness of ovarian cancer.

There is currently no early detection test for ovarian cancer, which makes understanding the signs and symptoms so important.

Symptoms can often be vague and easily mistaken for everyday issues, so knowing your body and speaking to your GP if something doesn’t feel right can make a difference.

Our residents have been busy knitting and crocheting toys for families affected by the fires in the Longwood community.

Thank you to our long-time volunteer Lynda Dellar for supporting residents with this beautiful initiative.

Residents and staff always look forward to the weekly visit from Berniece the dog and her owner and volunteer, Lynda Dellar.

Berniece brings so much joy to everyone and has become a much-loved regular at Parkvilla.
