I can't wait to share this space with you!

Real life in-person classes are coming to you from this soulful space from 1st Feb

Tuesdays at 7.30pm for floor yoga
Fridays at 12.30pm for chair yoga

I'm really looking forward to building some local connections and roots alongside my wonderful friends from far away. This yoga thing is something really special when we share it together

Late last year I asked this lovely community to share some words that describe My Yoga Well

Seeing these words is like seeing my dreams and vision come to life

Creating a space that is restorative, nourishing, calming, inspiring and accessible is everything to me

You do so much to care for others. I want this space be something that cares for you

So as the butterflies start to build for my return to teaching tonight, I'm going to keep coming back to these words to remind me of the value of this work, and this community.

Still plenty of time to join tonight's classes. Don't forget to use the code FREEYOGA to get your free spot (online or in-person)

Much love xx

It's intro time!

My name is Ali. My pronouns are she/her. I'm a yoga teacher, alongside a bunch of other roles including partner, parent, social worker, chronic over thinker, chief fridge stacker and car packer, indoor plant enthusiast and hobby collector

I came to yoga because of the movement, and I stayed because of the huge improvements in my mental well-being

I believe that yoga can nurture and support us, no matter how bendy we are. And the more we learn about ourselves on the mat, the more we grow off the mat

I've been teaching for 4 years now, and I am super stoked to be offering classes both online, and in person from Tecoma, Melbourne

I'm pretty active on Instagram and Facebook. I send out a monthly email on the first of each month. The best place for more info is the My Yoga Well website - www.myyogawell.com.au, and you can also shoot me a message with any questions, any time

From my heart to yours, thanks for being here. It means the world to me
Xx

This will be the last day I post on my page. I am having a rest time. I need all my energy for me right now. My day included these beautiful trees as I walked with a dear friend. The big mother tree spoke to me. “It’s time to be with yourself.” She said.
Take care everyone.

Day 11 of 42 days of yoga mindfulness.
Feelings
I noticed the lockdown lament slowly descending today. It makes itself known by me thinking negatively and being mostly unimpressed with most things. I have stayed with the lament. It’s unpleasant and it is part of the “field” of life today.
The fire is lit music up loud.
It helps.
How are you?

Day 9 of 42 days of yoga mindfulness
Lily
I spent today focussed on my little furry friend Lily.
Despite being nearly blind and deaf and 16 years old she loves every moment. She walks, bumps into things sometimes but keeps going.
Today I learnt about being old, disabled and happy.
Precious lesson.

This.......

What if 2020 is the year
we’ve been waiting for?
A year so uncomfortable,
so painful, so scary, so raw
that it finally forces us to grow.
A year that screams so loud,
finally awakening us
from our ignorant slumber.⁣
A year we finally accept
the need for change.⁣
Declare change.
Work for change.
Become the change.
A year we finally band together,
instead of⁣
pushing each other further apart.⁣⁣

2020 isn’t cancelled,
but rather ⁣the most important year
of them all.

Day 8 of 42 days of yogic mindfulness
Gratefulness and sadness
Travelling through my beautiful day I was so aware of beauty, simplicity and being so blessed. With this arose melancholy. We have been brought to our knees. How will we respond?
How are you travelling? You are all very silent.
