The T Cottage has moved!
We are loving the new location—while it was sad to have to give up our beloved cottage, the new space is fully accessible and climate controlled, which has been much better for everyone. It is in a building with other progressive, q***r, inclusive, and friendly folks, and it’s been nice to have more community around. There’s also a group meeting space which will allow us to do more group programming moving forward! It’s taken us a bit to get settled, but we’re excited to finally share the news of the move more broadly.
Some folks have been wondering what happened to the original T Cottage building, which as you may know was built with the help of a small amount of community fundraising. Unfortunately, that building and the property it’s on have been sold (due to accessibility issues) with the proceeds of selling the T Cottage building going towards paying the ongoing costs of the new office space.
We were extremely grateful for the community financial support that helped get us off the ground and we continue to pay that forward every day—since we have opened, we have given away over $10,000 worth of mental health services to vulnerable trans folks, nearly double what the community initially invested in us. We are so thankful for your trust and support, and we continue to work to be worthy of it.
