Canadians make the best hockey pucks - no surprises there - for activating tuning forks. The high quality rubber of these babies produces the best tones for tuning forks.

These are near impossible to get in Australia unless purchased in bulk, but, when there’s a will, there’s a way.

Why is intention so important in my practise as a bodyworker and why do I ask this question before and healing session?

Setting an intention prior to the session brings the intention to conscious awareness. It provides a direction, framework and purpose for the healing session.

Makia, one of the seven Huna principles, means “Energy flows where attention goes”. Energy also flows where INTENTION goes.

Intent has molecular consequences. Our cells have receptors and memory, and intent vibrates those receptors. An intention assists in manifesting our intended will through our Source Creator.

As a bodyworker, a clear intention helps me maintain my focus on YOU and ONLY you. When intent is generated from the heart with unconditional love, it is the purest feeling imaginable. It makes the intent possible by giving the Universal Energies the command or cause to manifest what is being intended.

This is just one of the reasons why Ancient Hawaiian Temple Massage is so profound and transformative. Intention also connects to the mana energy of creation in the Ha breath that is used in sacred bodywork, but I’ll talk about that another time.

Intent means choosing where to invest your own superpower and energy.

New Year is one of my favourite times of the year - hope and optimism fill the air, we resolve to improve our selves and our lives and it’s a magical time to manifest our own divine destinies.

I have been setting goals and planting intentions both personally and professionally and I’m excited for what this year will bring. It’s definitely the year to rise up to our own real potential.

In reflecting on the years that have come before, they have been challenging far beyond the comprehensible, and this has had such a tremendous impact on our physical, mental and emotional health. It’s so important we honour our temple bodies and hold that space to bring back balance, harmony, and healing, especially if we are to realise our true selves.

Litha (also known as Summer Solstice and Midsummer), celebrates the longest day of the year and the shortest night as the Sun is at the height of its power. Although Litha marks the longest day, it signals that the days to follow will begin to get shorter and darker as the Wheel of the Year keeps moving. The awareness of what is to come helps us see and have a greater appreciation for the changing of the seasons which can have a strong and grounding affect upon us.

Litha celebrates abundance as crops have reached their full maturity, and the first of the three harvests begin. It is a time to celebrate the growth of the seeds that were planted in the Spring. It is also time to celebrate the manifestation of any metaphorical seeds you planted at this time that have since come into being

On arrival, we will honour this sacred seasonal day with a Midsummer Passion Punch while acknowledging our own inner fire and reflecting on our Summer Soul Lessons. We will then commence a 90 minute sound bath immersion. This journey is navigated by the sacred sounds of beautiful Crystal Singing Bowls, Tibetan Bowls, gongs, and other instruments, transporting you across time and space, to a place of pure bliss, relaxation and transformation.

We conclude our evening by celebrating with a shared seasonal supper to bring us into rhythm with the season.

Our supper is Summer Corn and White Bean Soup served with Solstice Herb Bread, followed by a Seasonal Fruit Salad for dessert.

At Beltane, everything in the natural world is at the peak of its fertility, and this is the time when potential has finally transformed into actual conception. Nature is literally bursting with energy-blossoms are on the trees, flowers are in bloom, and bugs are unfurling. This is a truly joyous celebration full of music, song, sensuality, light, and merriment at the coming of the light half of the year.

Beltane celebrates the union of the Divine Feminine and the Divine Masculine finally coming together to create new life. The union not only insures the fertility of the earth but also the coming of light, after the dark depths of winter.

Beltane is about creation and you can channel this creative energy in all aspects of your life if you reach out to connect to the creation within nature.
