🌍 World Organ Donation Day – A Personal Message
Today holds deep meaning for our family. Our son has been recently diagnosed with Autosomal Recessive Polycystic Kidney Disease (ARPKD) and Congenital Hepatic Fibrosis (CHF)—a rare genetic condition that means, one day, he will likely need both a kidney and a liver transplant.

His future rests in the hands of organ donors—people who say *yes* to giving the ultimate gift: a second chance at life.

NAIDOC Week 2025 – Honouring First Nations People with Disability
This NAIDOC Week, we take time to recognise and celebrate the strength, culture, and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, especially those living with disability.
As a support coordination service, we acknowledge that many First Nations people with disability face barriers that are shaped by both systemic inequality and intergenerational trauma. At the same time, their resilience, cultural knowledge, and community connections are powerful foundations for healing and empowerment.
We are committed to walking alongside our First Nations participants, listening deeply, supporting self-determination, and ensuring our services are culturally safe and inclusive.
NAIDOC Week is more than a celebration, it’s a reminder of our responsibility to stand in solidarity, to challenge discrimination, and to support meaningful change for all.

We’re thrilled to welcome Jack McVay to our team in Brisbane! Jack brings a wealth of experience as a qualified Social Worker from the UK, with a passion for empowering individuals and championing their rights.
With a strong background supporting people with disabilities, complex needs, and sensory impairments, Jack has worked across a range of services including child protection services and recently supported youth aged 14–25 in the UK through tailored care planning, advocacy, and crisis intervention.
Jack’s approach is grounded in compassion, inclusion, and person-centred values—perfectly aligned with our mission at Inspire. He’s now available to support NDIS participants as a Support Coordinator and is eager to help individuals and families navigate their journey with confidence.

🧠💚 Today is World Tourette Syndrome Awareness Day 💚🧠

Tourette Syndrome (TS) is a neurological condition that causes involuntary movements and sounds known as tics. It affects people of all ages, backgrounds, and walks of life — and there is so much more to a person than their tics.

Today, we stand with the TS community to break down stereotypes, increase understanding, and celebrate the strength, resilience, and individuality of those living with Tourette Syndrome.
