I have 2 minds about this...
I believe that we are in ways influenced or affected by our environment.
But then there is a component that I also believe. Our level of resilience to our environment can be increased or reduced by the things we choose to do or put into our bodies and environment as well.

Sometimes we can't change our environment, but we absolutely can control how we support our body to survive our environment!

Finding a support network and space to feel held and acknowledged is so important when it comes to your health!
Knowing that the person who has given you the advice is going to be available to support you alongside your journey and answer the questions and concerns you have along the way.

Did you know that you can not show up for the people in your life, if you don't invest time and energy and love into yourself before anyone else!?

This doesn't make you selfish!
This doesn't mean you care less about them!
This doesn't make you a bad person!

This is a fact...

If you continue to show up every day for everyone else around you and you put your needs aside to do so, you will burn out. You will run on empty and the way you start to show up for them won't be your best self.
It will be a tired, cranky, let down, devastated version of you that isn't present.

How do you change this?

Each day, even if only 5mins to start, apply something to your routine that is just for you! And do it every day for 3 weeks. Then, this has become a habbit!
Then stretch that 5mins out to 10 or 20.
If you fall out of habbit, that is ok! Before day3, get back on the wagon so you don't loose the habbit.

This is a great place to start in building a healthier balance. Be ruthless, don't budge on your boundaries and where they don't align with others. Remember it isn't about them, is is about YOU!

Your body starts the gentle whisper to you to let you know your out of balance, and then when you don't listen it starts to scream at you to help find that balance.

This is where our body will develop and stay in a state of physical dis-ease!

It's going around...

Why is it something most parents are scared of?

❌It spreads fast and easily via the exudate over the body.
❌It can take weeks to clear up.
❌It can be painful and itchy.
❌Sometimes antibiotics don't work (this bacteria is mutli strain resistant).
❌It can spread to other family members.
❌It can be lethal if the infection hits your blood stream or organs.
❌It can leave scars.

I have some fun facts and secrets to share with you on my successful treatment of this skin infection.

✅ Did you know the bacteria tends to harbour in the nasal passages, making your nose a breading ground and continuing source or reinfection.
✅ Did you know that killing all the good bacteria as well as the bad decreases the recovery time.
✅Did you know that treating the skin infection and not the nose at the same time can increase your risk of re-infection and slow recovery time.
✅Did you know an integrated approach is the most successful and fast approach to recovery and reduction in spread.

Here is what I do...

🙏

🌸See a GP, integrat care and ask for a script for bactroban antibiotic ointment (This reduces side effects of oral antibiotics).
🌸Apply colloidal silver 2-3 × day use it as a wash and one last spray to air dry.
🌸follow with my antibiotic ointment, covering each individual spot with a clean cotton tip each time.
🌸apply a coat of golden seal ointment on top of the bactroban again using a clean cotton tip.
🌸cover any spots actively excreting exudate with a cotton dressing (they still need to breathe to dry out)
🌸 keep areas covered to avoid spread and change clothing 2x day.
🌸where possible exposure to sunlight each day.
🌸continue every day, starting with a vigorous wash to remove any golden crusts from each spot to expose skin underneath to apply medications.
🌸apply the same techniques to each nostril 2x day.



I have never had a case that didn't heal this way and have always suggested to integrate care for things like this for your best results.
These images of this infection healed within 4 days.

Here is a little something about me!

🌸

I have had some time out of clinic lately due to both family commitments and my own health.
I have been suffering with multiple chronic health conditions that have now reached a point that I am almost always in pain daily!

Chronic pain is absolutely debilitating at times and can affect so many aspects of your life.
I am so deeply grateful to have a supportive partner, she cares for me and takes over the home duties when I am down and out (lately this has been more often than not!)

We have been to multiple tests, scans and specialist appointments now and have finally found some answers.

Soooooo....

How do I choose to address this!?

I have reached out to my own Naturopath to start working on my health from the inside out and find the underlying contributing factors. Maintain care through my specialists and avoid surgery where possible for now.

Dedicate time to my own healing whilst still showing up and helping others heal as this brings me so much joy!

I also want to take this time to acknowledge my partner as she has been so patient and present for me and has helped to keep me calm and positive in moving through all of this.

I look forward to sharing my healing journey with you all as we get to the other side of this.

This July I will be assisting students from Southern Cross University, who are studying the Bachelor of Health Science Naturopathy or completing their Masters.

They will be accumulating clinical hours by attending my clinic and observing the day to day procedural workings of an established Naturopathic Clinic.

🌸Observing admin procedures

🌸Observing day to day duties
🌸Observing integrated collaboration

I understand some clients may not feel comfortable having a student present in the clinic during the time of consultation.
I will be offering a reduced consultation fee for those who choose to book in on a day that I am supervising students, as I am passionate about helping future clinical Naturopaths feel confident and inspired.
I will be notifying all clients if there is a student in clinic during their consultation time and all clients will have the choice to decline having them present should they wish.

We now have availabilities daily, for urgent acute consultations.
If you are feeling unwell with an acute infection and can't get into a Dr or clinic and are needing some immune support or symptomatic relief there will be 1-2, 15minute consultation places available on a Mon, Tues, Wed and Friday in person or via zoom.
(Other times only via zoom)

Inclusions are any physical observations indicated (e.g. auscultation of chest, temperature, ears and throat visual examination, abdominal palpation), symptomatic note taking and care plan production.
Prescribed items are an extra cost depending on individual needs and what you may already have at home that could be utilised.
(Any red flags will be referred to your local GP or ER).

What is 'Balance'
There are so many factors that contribute to our whole body & mind balance and when we are affected by 1 or more of these factors we can often experience symptoms such as anxiety.
We are also more susceptible to stress and we all know very well how stress is a huge factor in our ability to control anxiousness.
So what factors are they?
Here are just a few of the most common I see.
🌸 Hormone imbalance (Estrogen dominance, cortisol dominance)
🌺 sleep quality & quantity
🌼nutritional deficiencies (from lack of dietary source or depleted levels from medicines or lifestyle factors)
🏵self care (time alone to decompress and engage in something that brings joy)
🌷boundaries!!! (This is a huge one, placing boundaries to avoid burn out and overwhelm.)
🌻undiagnosed medical conditions (this is more common than you may think)
