Mean Girls & Drama Cyclones 🌪️

Let’s have an honest conversation.

Mean girl behaviour is rarely about confidence.
It’s usually about insecurity, comparison, or wanting control.

And drama cyclones?

They start small.
A comment taken the wrong way.
A private message shared.
A rumour repeated.

Then suddenly it grows…
More people get involved.
Feelings get hurt.
Friendships get damaged.

The truth is this:

Strong girls don’t create storms to feel powerful.
Secure girls don’t need an audience.
Confident girls don’t pull others down to lift themselves up.

Drama only continues when it’s fed.

Every time we:
• pass on gossip
• screenshot and share
• react without thinking
• take sides without knowing the full story

…we add wind to the cyclone.

But when a girl pauses, stays calm, and chooses integrity?
The storm loses power.

In Girl Squad, we teach girls to:
✨ Stay grounded
✨ Protect their energy
✨ Communicate directly
✨ Refuse to participate in behaviour that harms others

You don’t have to attend every argument you’re invited to.

Real leadership is staying steady when others are spinning.

Be Bold.
Be Brave.
Be You.

Sassy Responses From Teen Girls (That Low-Key Deserve an Olympic Medal in Attitude) 🥇

💛 Here’s the thing though…

Behind the sass is:
• Big emotions
• Brain development in overdrive
• Identity forming
• Hormones doing their thing
• A girl learning independence

Teen girls aren’t trying to be difficult.
They’re trying to figure out who they are.

And sometimes that comes out as ✨ spice ✨

At Girl Squad we teach girls:
💬 How to communicate without attitude
💛 How to express feelings without exploding
🧠 How to understand what’s happening in their brain
👑 How to be confident AND respectful

Because strong girls can have a voice
…without using it as a weapon 😉

Mums — you’re not failing.
Girls — you’re not crazy.
You’re both just navigating a growth season.

✨ Get ready with me as I prep for today’s session at Woongarrah Public School ✨

Laying everything out and getting in the zone for our “Be That Girl” session with the Year 6 girls 💕

📚 Books
📓 Journals
🗂️ Planners
🗓️ Schedules
💬 Affirmation cards

Every item has a purpose — to help these girls feel confident, organised, supported, and ready to back themselves as they step into this next chapter.

I honestly never take this moment for granted. Walking into schools with a program I created, knowing it’s making a real difference… such a pinch-me feeling 🥹✨

Let’s do this, Woongarrah 💖

✨ We’re kicking off TODAY! ✨

So excited to be launching the “Be That Girl” program with the incredible Year 6 girls at Woongarrah Public School today 🙌

Every school program I’ve ever run, the schools have reached out to me — and it’s so amazing to have a program I created being recognised and valued like this 💕

Over the coming weeks, these girls will be building confidence, strengthening friendships, learning powerful mindset tools, and stepping into the kind of girls who back themselves and each other.

Huge thanks to Woongarrah Public School for prioritising wellbeing and empowering girls at such a pivotal stage of their lives. I can’t wait to see these girls grow, shine, and truly be that girl ✨

🚨 REAL TALK, PARENTS 🚨 LET’s TALK ABOUT TEEN CURIOSITY
“Everyone’s doing it…” is NOT a reason — it’s pressure.
Teach them that the real “FLEX” is saying “No”

Teenagers are curious about everything 👀
Fitting in. Parties. Social media. Relationships. Alcohol.

This week I saw a post in one of our local FB community pages about a 15-year-old boy wanting to drink with his friends — and it’s such a reminder that this convo can’t be avoided… but it can be handled well.

✨ EDUCATE • GUIDE • EMPOWER ✨

💬 “Just because everyone is doing it doesn’t mean it’s right.”
That’s not a lecture — it’s a life skill.

Here’s how we help our teens make strong choices:

💭 Talk about their curiosity — ask what they’re seeing, hearing, and wondering.
💬 Answer questions honestly — calm > control > consequences.
🎉 Remind them they don’t need alcohol to have fun — confidence is the real flex.
🧠 Give them knowledge — teens don’t just “do it anyway” when they feel informed, trusted, and supported.

We’re not here to scare them.
We’re here to raise teens who think for themselves.

So proud of my teen girls group!

Instead of Secret Santa they have chosen to buy a Christmas gift to donate to We Care Connect — supporting local families in need.

These girls are learning that true confidence isn’t just about how you look or what you achieve… it’s also about kindness, compassion, and lifting others up.

Well done girls!
