🧵✨ Tiny beads = BIG skills! ✨🧵

Did you know that beading is basically a fine motor powerhouse in disguise?! 👀💥And a super fun school holiday activity!

When kids pick up those tiny beads, they’re:
👉 Building a strong pincer grasp (hello writing, buttons & shoelaces!)
👉 Strengthening little hand muscles through repetition and control
👉 Practising in-hand manipulation as they turn and adjust beads to find the hole
👉 Using both hands together (one to hold, one to thread = teamwork!)
👉 Boosting hand–eye coordination by lining up string + bead like a pro 🎯

All while having fun and feeling successful 💪😄

That’s why beading is a paediatric OT favourite — it looks like play, but it’s secretly supporting school skills, self-care independence, and confidence.

Next time your child is beading, know this:
🧠 Their brain is working
✋ Their hands are learning
🎉 And their skills are growing

Do you have a child who LOVES LEGO but struggles with working in a team, navigating conflict or making new friends?

Our LEGO LEGENDS Social Group is the perfect blend of fun, challenge and therapeutic support — designed by Occupational Therapists to build REAL social skills in a way kids actually enjoy! 🙌

👥 How LEGO Legends works:

Children are placed into small groups of 3 and each child takes on a special job:

👷‍♂️ Builder – puts the creation together
🧠 Engineer – plans, solves problems & gives directions
🧱 Supplier – gathers pieces & keeps the team moving

Together, they collaborate to create epic LEGO builds while learning how to:

🤝 Make and maintain friendships
🧩 Manage conflict calmly
🔄 Compromise & share ideas
💬 Communicate clearly
💗 Build confidence & connection

Get ready to move, play, and thrive — SensAble Sports is here! 💪✨

This brand-new inclusive sports program is designed especially for children with disabilities to experience the joy of movement in a supported, sensory-aware environment.

Each 3.5-hour session is packed with fun and variety, featuring a round robin of sports including:

⚽ Soccer
🏀 Basketball
🏒 Hockey
🧘‍♀️ Yoga

And for moments when little bodies need to reset, our Sensory Engine Room offers calm, regulation, and sensory support throughout the day 💫

Every session is facilitated by 3 Occupational Therapists and 2 experienced support workers, ensuring every child feels safe, engaged, and celebrated — at their own pace.
