NDIS Kids Camp – Day 3 at Rivershore

Day 3 is all about fun, confidence, and connection as we head off on an exciting adventure to Thrill Hill Waterslides!

The day will be packed with laughter and energy as participants challenge themselves on the slides, building confidence, resilience, and independence in a safe and supported environment. Trying new activities like this encourages participants to step outside their comfort zones, supporting their Capacity Building goals—particularly around increased social participation and self-confidence.

We’ll enjoy a relaxed BBQ lunch onsite, giving everyone the chance to connect, share experiences, and further develop social and communication skills in a natural, community-based setting.

Back at camp, the fun continues with a friendly putt putt competition ⛳—a great way to build teamwork, turn-taking, and problem-solving skills, all while having a laugh with peers.

As the sun sets, we turn up the music for our camp disco 🪩—a highlight for many! Dancing, expressing themselves, and celebrating together supports emotional wellbeing, self-expression, and strengthens peer relationships.

And to rewind just a little… outdoor movie under the stars 🎬—a calm and inclusive group activity that allowed participants to wind down together, fostering a sense of belonging and shared experience.

Day 2 at Rivershore and the kids are absolutely in it 🌿

Fishing this morning, games, and now getting ready to head off to the Big Pineapple and Wildlife Zoo… and while it might look like just a fun day out, there is so much more happening underneath it all.

This is capacity building in real time.
Confidence growing as they try new things.
Social skills developing through shared experiences and teamwork.
Communication, problem solving, emotional regulation… all being practiced naturally, in the moment.

We are pleased to share an upcoming 3-Night School Holiday Capacity Building Camp for young people aged 9–17 years, held at Rivershore Resort from 13–16 April 2026.

This camp is designed to support children accessing NDIS funding and focuses on:
• Building social skills and peer connections
• Increasing confidence and independence
• Developing emotional regulation and resilience
• Strengthening community participation skills

Activities include kayaking, mini golf, fishing, team-building challenges and structured holiday programs, all delivered in a supportive and inclusive environment.

The camp may be claimed under relevant NDIS Core or Capacity Building supports, depending on individual plan goals.

We also offer pick up and drop off from a mutual meeting point.

☀️ Day 3 - Paradise, Performances & Pool Time! 🐨🎬🎤

Another beautiful sunny day for our NDIS camp crew! Today we spent the day at Paradise Country, getting up close with some amazing animals – cuddly koalas, cheeky kangaroos, curious meerkats and even some mischievous marmoset monkeys 🐒🦘🐑

We also caught some incredible shows – from sheep shearing to talented working dogs and a fun dance party with Shaun the Sheep and friends! 💃🐑✨

After a big day of exploring, we headed back to camp for a well-deserved swim, movie time, and a very special performance by one of our own. 🌟 Watching them step up with such confidence and joy was a real highlight – we were all so proud! ❤️👏

What an awesome day – full of adventure, connection, and courage.

🎢 Day 2 of Camp – Sunshine, Smiles & Movie World Magic! ☀️

We woke up to a beautiful Queensland winter’s day — clear skies, warm sun, and the perfect weather for a big adventure! 🌞

After an early start, we made our way to Movie World for a day full of fun, rides, characters, and laughter. 🎬🎡🎠

Back at camp, we had time to unwind with a swim in the heated pool before settling in for the evening.

Homemade Pasta Bolognese was on the menu for dinner, and after that some had quiet time watching a movie and others enjoyed board games together — a perfect way to end a big day of fun and connection.
