If you feel more anxious, overwhelmed, emotional or stuck in your head lately, you’re not imagining it.

In Ayurveda, autumn increases Vata, which affects the nervous system first. This can show up as anxiety, overthinking, feeling overwhelmed or not being able to switch off.

Treatments like Shirodhara, Abhyanga and Marma Therapy help calm the nervous system, slow excessive mental activity and help the body come out of stress mode.

Guided breathwork and meditations help you maintain control of your feelings and emotions.

Many clients come in not because something is “wrong”, but because they feel overwhelmed, tired and not like themselves.

Ayurveda works very well for nervous system reset and emotional balance.

A simple sign the season is shifting — and your body needs something different

Same day. Same temperature.
Coconut oil solid. Sesame based oil still flowing.

That’s the shift.

In Ayurveda, cooler seasons call for 2 main changes
1. Need for nourishing the body- skin, tissues, nervous system to avoid dryness, stiffness, aches and pains
2. Using warmer, deeper oils like sesame —to support circulation, nourish the body and calm the nervous system

Your body changes with the season.
Your care should too.

In Ayurveda, autumn is a cold, dry and windy season. During this time digestion becomes weaker, immunity can drop and people often feel bloated, tired or start catching colds easily.

A very simple Ayurveda autumn tea you can try at home:
• Fresh ginger- grated 1/2 to 1 tsp
• Cinnamon powder- 1/4 tsp
• Fennel seeds- 1 tsp
• Boil in cupful water for 5–7 minutes and drink warm

This enhances Agni- the digestive fire and helps digestion, circulation, immunity and keeps the body warm during autumn.

Small daily habits like this make a big difference in seasonal health in Ayurveda.

Long before modern nutrition science studied fibre, gut bacteria and plant-rich diets, Ayurveda already emphasised simple everyday foods like:

• vegetables
• lentils and grains
• seasonal fruits
• herbs and spices

Not as restrictions — but as nourishment.

Today research* is increasingly confirming these ideas. Diets rich in fibre and whole plant foods support digestion, metabolism, immunity and long-term health.

When digestion is supported, the body functions more smoothly.
Energy improves.
Inflammation settles.
Hormones stabilise.

Sometimes the most powerful medicine doesn’t begin in a pharmacy.
It begins with what you put on your plate every day.

Save this for your next grocery shop.
