Incredibly proud to have shared so many years with this powerhouse of a human and to see her at her shining best.

What an extraordinary ritual of healing to witness. To also understand what it takes to be both a funeral director and celebrant within a community and know the weight of responsibility and the privilege of such roles.

Kathryn Breusch Funerals , you were a credit to Carla and a beacon for all those whose hearts are breaking at her death.

For over twenty years, I’ve had the honour of working in both the wedding and funeral industries — as a celebrant and funeral director.

These two worlds often intertwine. When you guide people through life’s most significant moments, you become a trusted presence across the seasons of their lives.

Recently, I was deeply honoured to be asked by a past bride — from 17 years ago — to lead the funeral service for her beloved father, held at a rural property just outside Canberra.

It’s moments like this that remind me how powerful and enduring these human connections can be.
