🌿 School holidays don’t have to be busy to be meaningful
Sometimes, the most powerful support for regulation, connection, and wellbeing…
is simply stepping outside.
Nature offers something that structured environments often can’t:
✔️ Space to move freely
✔️ Reduced sensory overload
✔️ Opportunities for exploration and curiosity
✔️ Natural regulation through rhythm, sound, and movement
For many children (and adults), especially those who are neurodivergent, nature can support:
• Emotional regulation
• Reduced anxiety and overwhelm
• Improved attention and focus
• Connection without pressure
There’s no expectation out here.
No “right way” to engage.
Just space to be.
Whether it’s a walk by the water, collecting sticks, climbing logs, or simply sitting and noticing…
these moments matter.
🌱 Regulation doesn’t always come from strategies.
Sometimes, it comes from environment.
💭 This school holidays, consider:
Where can we slow down?
Where can we connect—without demands?
