🔥Ahikāroa, the long burning fires. 🔥
Our name carries the vision of who we are and what we are here to do. Ahikāroa speaks to keeping the fires of mātauranga Māori, rongoā, healing, and connection alive so they continue to burn for those who are away from home or are seeking connection.
This wānanga reminded us of that purpose. Over these days we came together through whakawhanaungatanga, sharing stories, knowledge, laughter, and healing.
The fire grows stronger when it is shared, tended, and protected together.
Here are some moments from our journey.
