Flu season has arrived, and Dr Ashraf is reminding everyone that the flu is more than just a cold — it can lead to serious illness, especially for young children, the elderly, and those with chronic conditions.

That’s why it’s so important to get your flu shot — it not only protects you, but also helps prevent the spread of the virus to the most vulnerable in our community.

Thanks to the Queensland Government’s 2025 Free Flu Vaccination Program, all QLD residents aged 6 months and over can access a FREE flu vaccine from 1 March to 30 September 2025.
