Kathryn Murphy - Ballina Funeral Celebrant

Kathryn Murphy - Ballina Funeral Celebrant Funeral ceremonies - creating personal, authentic and intimate celebrations of life. Funerals are such an incredibly difficult time for anyone.

As a funeral celebrant, my compassion, my integrity, my understanding and my guidance are my promise to you. I will work closely with you to help create a ceremony that is heartfelt and reflects the life and the essence of the loved one you have lost. The funeral ceremony should allow you to remember this person and to celebrate their life, whilst allowing you time to grieve their passing and to find comfort from those who surround you. Unfortunately for many of us, it is not until after the funeral that we feel as though we have a chance to think clearly about what we would have liked to have done at the funeral service. We regret being forced into decisions that we don’t feel were right for us, or feel that we had no choice at all. Well we do have a choice, and my role is provide you with those choices, clearly and compassionately, so that you don’t have regrets about what you could have done or what you could have said at a later date. I want you to feel empowered to make the choices that are right for you and your family. In 2008 I lost my unborn daughter. I was shattered and had no idea where to begin organising her funeral. How do you sit down and plan a funeral for someone that you are grieving for so intensely. It was hard, the hardest thing I have ever done, but what I learnt from that experience is that there is a right way to say goodbye and that there is such a thing as a beautiful funeral. With the help of two very beautiful friends who are also celebrants, we created a ceremony for her that was heartfelt, personal and beautiful. I made choices that were not offered to me elsewhere and whilst emotionally I was completely broken, at the same time I felt empowered to be able to give her a ceremony and farewell that she truly deserved. To celebrate her all too short life whilst having time to mourn and be comforted by those around me. Whilst we never fill the gap that the loss of a loved one leaves behind, we can make choices that make the journey of healing a little easier. Knowing that you have no regrets about the way you acknowledged and celebrated their life can be the first major step in this journey. To discuss an upcoming funeral ceremony further then feel free to call me on 0402 848 561 or send me a message. Let me help you to say goodbye to your loved one with sincerity and with no regrets and to create a ceremony that I truly hope will help and comfort you during this difficult time.

I always encourage my families to make the ceremony their own and do what is perfect for them.

This is a beautiful flower mandala, from a recent celebration of life that I conducted, that his family lovingly created in the centre of the room and everyone sat around it.

Simply beautiful 🌺🌱🌼🌱🌸🌱🌻

Grief and the way we grieve is different for everyone, but the one thing that is the same, is that grief is simply a pure reflection of our love. 💙🙏🏼💙

If Christmas is hard,
If you’ve lost someone dear.
Just look in your heart,
And you’ll know they’re still here.

The star in the sky,
The light falling snow.
The robin outside,
It seems like they know.

If this is a time,
When you’re struggling through.
Just do what you can,
For what matters, is you.

There’s no need to be merry,
There’s no need to bright.
Just do what you can,
It will all be alright.
