After a few months everyone is settling in to the new place. Skin itches on the horses have almost disappeared and they are all shiny and happy. Dogs love the pond.

An astonishing couple of days. Arriving home from work Thursday to find my mare with a dead foal and retained placenta 😢
Today mare is doing great and the surprise a tiny little filly spied down the paddock by our vet during treating mare.
Twins a rear and mostly very poor out come for foals and mare.
Filly is a little under cooked not latching on to feed, but is feisty and trying so hard. She is drinking from a bowl 2hrly 24/7 had plasma and even had a totter around this morning not just eat and drop down asleep. Mare is doing great. Vet Dr Frank is amazing did fantastic work and great support and pretty good spotting too, never even considering was twins.

THE HEART OF A HORSE.

When your day seems out of balance and so many things go wrong,
When people fight around you and the clock drags on so long,
When most folk act like children and fill you with remorse,
Go out into your pasture; wrap your arms around your horse.

His gentle breath enfolds you as he watches with those eyes.
He may not have a PhD, but oh he is so wise.
His head rests on your shoulder; you embrace him good and tight,
He puts your world in balance and makes it seem alright.

Your tears will soon stop flowing and the tension will be eased.
The nonsense has been lifted, you are quiet and at peace.
So when you need some balance from the stresses of your day,
The best therapy that you can seek is out there eating hay.

Yesterday we had to help the beautiful big girl cross the rainbow. It is awful to have to make this decision, but we all must honour our much loved horses, and pets. When pain, injury and illness can not be treated or old age comes with constant battles just to get through another pain filled day. Love them, spoil them and call your vet. To all the staff at FNQ vets and Dr Frank for coming yesterday thank you your kindness and compassion is amazing Sophie slipped away sleeping very peaceful. Her huge loving presents in the paddock will be missed by all 💔

Temporary closure of Total Equine Assisted Wellness.
The farm had sold all the equine beauties are on holiday until a suitable new home is found and purchased.
