Free online basic Money Management Training for NDIS Participants, Families/Carers - March/April 2022

As a capacity building initiative for NDIS Participants, their families/carers, Mission Australia NDIS is partnering with Uniting Care (Cairns) to offer free online basic Money Management Training.
This is a 5 week program, however, it is not essential that people sign up to attend all 5 weeks as each week has a different topic and people can select 1 or more topics of interest.
All sessions will be held online via Microsoft Teams from 9.30am - 10.30am as follows -

To help you understand how the NDIA makes decisions about what the NDIS can fund, it has introduced the Would We Fund it Guide - https://ourguidelines.ndis.gov.au/would-we-fund-it
This guide tells you how NDIA planners make decisions about what the NDIS will and won’t fund.

When the NDIA makes a reasonable and necessary decision, it is based on many different things. This includes your disability support needs, your living arrangements and support you get from your family, friends and carers.

If you want to ask about a different item for your individual needs, get in touch!

I celebrated Disability Action Week by attending Mission Australia's inaugural Douglas Services Expo on Wednesday. Was a great event with a very welcoming vibe - thanks to all involved! Looking forward to the next event being planned for MAREEBA early 2022.
