We often see more cases of people needing medication for cold sores after Easter. This is because eating too much chocolate depletes L-lysine levels.
The good news is you can still have your eggs and eat them too. Just remember to supplement with L-lysine if you are prone to cold sores and keep an antiviral cream or tablet on hand to use at the first sign of tingling or itching. 🐰🐣🍫

Our flu vaccine clinics are off to a very busy start. Flu vaccine is FREE again for all Queensland residents over 6 months of age. Walk-ins welcome including Easter Saturday.
Covid boosters are able to be given at the same time if required.

Over the weekend some of our staff attended the APP pharmacy conference. We learnt about new products and innovations for pharmacy in the trade fair and extended full scope pharmacy training for prescribing as well as attending networking events with other colleagues.

If your child doesn’t like needles, book in for this years nasal flu spray vaccine available free for ages 2-5.
The vaccine is also approved for use up to the age of 17 years but will incur a private cost for those over 5 years.
