Tiberius Lodge Horse and Disability Mind Set Therapy Starting from a Rescue, we watched the dynamics grow between Horse and family & the changes it made in health and well being of both. AMAZING - NO WORDS :O

Tiberius Lodge Horse and Disability Mind Set Therapy was founded on the grounds of Rescue and Rehabilitation. It began with a handful of rescue horses that needed a chance in life and a family of kids with medical needs. The bond created between those horses and the family was something that can not be explained but something that can definitely be seen. The Harry Family did not just help these horses, the horses also helped the Harry Family. My dream was to always give these horses a future and train them up for the disabled and donate them to the RDA, but the connection here in their home is immeasurable. Even the Isa Brown Chickens that we rescued several months back that were emaciated are fat healthy and extremely friendly and follow you around like I'm the Pied Piper :D

The purpose of this place is to give these children, teenagers and even adults and opportunity to develop tactile responses, sensory input, confidence, regulation and most importantly "self esteem". Why keep this treasure all to ourselves. We have a duty to pay it forward. The world is full of wrong. Lets share some right

Worst part is I was part of Surf Life Saving for 10+ years and I don't recall ever being taught this.

NOTICE....

We would sadly like to advise that we have de-registered Tiberius Lodge Horse and Disability Mind Set Therapy Ltd as a NFP COMPANY after a long unnecessary court battle with Company whom came on board as a Implied Sponsor and then reneged several weeks after supply of the Occupational Therapy Designed Playground.

Due to not providing us with the legally required Certificates of Compliance in order to obtain the necessary Public Liability Insurance over the equipment while this matter was being rectified between the two companies over the last THREE YEARS through court proceedings, we were sadly unable to run the NFP to either:

1. Provide services; or
2. Earn an income.

The two Companies have come to a resolution and the playground equipment will be purchased outright and legally required Certificates provided in the next two weeks.

However, due to years of financial constraints, Tiberius Lodge Horse and Disability Mind Set Ltd is no longer able to run.

As our followers are aware however, we have attended to other projects in this time such as implementation of the TOOLERN VALE COMMUNITY ECOLOGICAL WILDLIFE CORRIDOR inwhich we worked together with Sunbury Heights Primary School, Bunnings Warehouse Australia, City of Melton and our state government environmental management departments.

We will continue this work over the years to ensure its development and success.

WE WILL ALSO continue to develop our property regardless in the hope of forefilling this therapy dream.

I maybe financially constrained at the moment, but those who know me, KNOW that I NEVER give up on Dreams.

Feeling extremely sad and overwhelmed.

Working in rescue means that things don't always work out for the best for the animals.

But with us that has rarely happened.

However, it doesn't mean we are not free of vet visits.

OH MY if I calculated the amount of money 💰 spent on vet bills over the years we'd faint a thousand times over as Tiberius Lodge our rescue was (no longer active) a privately run rescue and relied Sole on our own funds with the occasional donation from good community members of hardware, not money.

Ie: a lovely group of ladies who donate to a cause every year purchased us an extra automatic water trough to the value of $280 bringing out total of automatic water troughs to 3.

And a feed company donated us 20 bags of feed that were slightly packaged damaged but not soiled.

Today one of our amazing rescues Chook Chook was rushed to the vet as we thought she maybe be severely egg bound.

We did everything we could to make her comfortable last night and rushed her in this morning.

Chook Chook was our favourite Chicken 🐔
She would run and greet the car as you drove in.

Spoke a lot especially saying Brooke

Sadly it turns out that Chook Chook has TWO MASSIVE TUMOURS IN HER ADNOMIN which are inoperable.

It has broken 💔 my heart but we have decided to put Chook Chook peacefully to sleep to end her pain.

I am now taking her straight to Edenhills Pet Cremation Melbourne to have her cremated so she can stay with us forever.

Yes it's expensive! But our rescues are family and we never toss them away, even if they are chickens.

Special Olympics Nationals have been delayed from February to September 2022 due to Covid.
However, although State Comp in August was Cancelled the October Competition has been arranged to be submitted as an online video footage submission for qualifications.

SOA Victoria are still fund-raising for the Victorian Team to attend Nationals next year so we ask that Covid not Dis-hearten you and our community continue to dig deep for our disabled Athletes

Well it certainly has been a year hasn't it?
I sincerely apologise for the absence, there has been quite a bit going on here also personally as I have had my own Health Issues.

Needless to say, this does not mean I have not been working on things in the background, BUT it does mean the structure of Our Therapy will be changing slightly.

Our aim has always been to provide assistance to the Disabled and the Community through Animals and other resources.

A mother of Three beautiful children with Limitations themselves and now unfortunately myself, our family understand the harsh reality of this world of Disability and how much support is needed to get through the every day.

Over the Summer we will be working towards a new system where we will be able to bring the animals to you, rather then set up the facilities here.

I felt that this would be a much easier process for Schools and Community Members as groups.

Further to this, several years ago, I developed a brand called Happy Gums. These were Allergy/Medical Alert Bracelets that I Purchased and further developed my own extra designed personalised buttons for other medical conditions and requirements.

They are cheap, bright, Latex free and easily replaceable for young children. Giving peace of mind for parents sending their children to school and childcare without the worry of losing an expensive Medical Alert Bracelet.

I'm also an artist and make personalised gifts for people. Whether its a converting a low loft bed into a Train Bridge bed or painting a horse, face mask printing, baking a cake with an amazing unique cake topper. I'll always take on the challenge.

This is because my passion is creating happiness, beautiful surroundings and futures.

My goal is to inspire our next generation to know they are capable of anything no matter what speed bumps are in front of them. Disabilities, family hardships, bullies, money limitations nothing can hold you back if you speak up and talk about your dreams.
There will always be someone out there willing to help you achieve your goals if you have faith and persistence.

SO OVER THE SUMMER, TIBERIUS LODGE HORSE AND DISABILITY THERAPY LTD WILL BE CHANGING.

Tiberius Lodge Horse and Disability Mind Set Therapy Ltd is a Company Limited by Guarantee which means it is a Not For Profit registered under the Australian Insurance and Investment Commission.
We do not give Tax Offsets. We registered under ASIC's as our purpose was to create futures, and work with the Government on projects such as the current Toolern Vale Ecological Program we are currently doing on Kororoit Creek, not give tax offsets to investors.
