It seems obvious doesn't it! However, so many parents are uncomfortable talking about s*x with their kids. I recently gave my friend's daughter a beautiful silk v***a puppet for her 13th Birthday and her mum freaked out and called it ugly and inappropriate. She also added that all v***as were hideous looking. What message do you think this sent to her daughter about her own body? What messages do you think that the girl had already received about her body from watching mainstream po*******hy?
The work to educate about s*xuality and reduce shame and the impact of trauma for people is such important work that has a trickle down effect on future generations.

I got to thinking about the word s*xy and what it means for me as a 55 year old woman rapidly approaching menopause.
When I was younger, I thought s*xy was all about how many approving looks I got from a low neckline or a short skirt, or the desire in men for my body. Things have changed. I have changed.
Nowadays my understanding of s*xy directly relates to how I'm feeling from the inside out instead of from the other way around. My s*xy mojo motor is important to me. I know that it's connected to my creativity, my passion for life, my vitality, and my identity as a woman.
My s*xual fires now burn a little slower and I have noticed that the old sense of urgency related to s*x has gone. It has been replaced by a different flame. One that takes a little longer to fire up, but when it does, its blaze is all encompassing and touches every aspect of myself, my partner, and my world. This is my special mojo power that I cultivate daily with sensual and mindful practices.
Nothing that is energy is ever truly lost. It just transforms into a different flow.
Our task is to appreciate it and love the pleasure, joys and connections that are at the heartbeat of its dance.

“Religious schools in Victoria will be prohibited from sacking or refusing to employ teachers because of their s*xuality or gender identity under sweeping social reforms proposed by the Andrews government."

Proposed legislation would remove an exemption that allows religious organisations, including schools, to discriminate against employees on the grounds of s*xuality and gender identity.

I have a friend who is a nurse at a s*xual health clinic.
She told me that over 70% of young heteros*xual females who visit, hate the appearance of their v***a and find them ugly and embarassing.
Amongst the reasons given were; because they were not symetrical, not "normal" looking, and that the outer lips were too long or too short.

We have centuries of negative belief and association about the v***a. This still sits within the cultural psyche. And then of course there's the p**n industry, with its surgically modified performers and select visual preferences. Guess where the education about how your ge***als should look and act is coming from! My friend also added that some of the young women had partners who had told them that their vaginas were ugly or abnormal looking compared to the v***as they had seen (in p**n movies). This struck me as a sad indication of how the mainstream p**n industry has influenced what many think is normal in regards to ge***al appearance.

Fortunately, there are more and more positive v***a-friendly products, articles, and therapies, with plenty of helpful education now available within our culture. This exposure has meant that many people realize that 'normal' just doesn't exist in the real world of v***a and that they come in different shapes and dimensions.
There's still a long way to go to reach critical mass of body love and acceptance, but we'll eventually get there.

There's been a lot of chat about nudity in art from one of the art groups I'm in on Facebook, in response to somebody expressing disgust about a painting showing a p***s.
My own thoughts are that it's nice seeing nakedness depicted in a non-objectified way that's devoid of overt s*xual content for a change. Nudity as an appreciation of the human body for its own sake.
