Cosmetic replacement of 2 central incisor crowns and correction of central black triangle
This patient had old ageing crowns which had the appearance of ‘dropping down’ in his smile line due to tooth movement over time.
Through digital smile design and planning, a gingivectomy was conducted to lengthen the final crowns and allowed the replacements to be placed to the desired height to complement a pleasing smile line.
This also allowed shortening of the incisal edge while keeping aesthetic proportions and shape of the central incisors, thus returning the incisors to their desired height in the smile
Multiple photos and shade references were taken and communicated to the lab for new Emax layered crowns to match the surrounding natural teeth
The result: 2 Emax layered crowns designed to refine the gum line, complement his natural dentition, and integrate seamlessly into a harmonious, natural-looking smile.
The final photo taken three weeks after treatment completion
