Our resident morning tea was well attended and the room was filled with conversation and cuddles (and cupcakes of course!). While this afternoon saw our team members gather for a charcuterie catch-up. A valuable opportunity to pause in support of our team mates.

Last night we celebrated our Dad's with dinner fit for a... well, a Dad! Beef & Guinness Pie with creamy mash & veg was followed by apple crumble and ice cream. The drinks flowed, the raffles were hotly contested and our Dad's each took home their new Boambee Dad's Day bottle openers.
Many thanks to our Social Committee, our staff and to all those who attended.

Oh what a night! Our Winter Ball was held last night with our residents and guests embracing our Masquerade theme. The room looked beautiful, thanks to our Social Committee, admin ladies, our maintenance man, Lenny and our resident seamstress. The meal was delicious, the music and dancing a whole lot of fun and the prizes were plentiful.
Special thanks to our Team BGE members who were out in force last night supporting the event with a team table and very capably preparing, serving and clearing eighty meals. No mean feat.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words. In this case there's one word that immediately springs to mind: Fabulous! ❄️🥂🎭🤍🩵

This week has been BIG.
In addition to our usual activity calendar, our first social dance class was held on Tuesday afternoon to great acclaim (thanks to Graham & Sue Newhouse - our very own Fred & Ginger) 💃🕺, our new indoor bowls mat & bowls arrived allowing for twice the fun on Wednesday afternoons 👏, State of Origin was disappointing for the Blues supporters but it only added to the passion ❤️💙, and this morning's mask making workshop in the lead up to our Masquerade Ball was so much fun! 🎭🎨 Never a dull moment 😁.

We do love visitors here at BGE and today we welcomed Dr. Brett Robinson, CEO of RetireAustralia to our village. Brett spent time with our team, taking part in the creation of a group art project for our staff room this morning and then undertook some whirlwind training so he could wear the bingo caller hat this afternoon for a very animated bingo session with our residents.
