We recently welcomed Mix Tub Theatre to our Community Centre where they regaled our residents with some well known sing-a-long favourites. Thanks so much for the entertainment 🙏

Happy St Paddy's Day! 🍀 What a fantastic night to celebrate Ireland and just a few of the many things that make it great 🇮🇪. Plenty of Irish jokes and limericks were submitted and kept us entertained throughout the evening, along with our lucky door and raffle prize draws, all set to a backdrop of Irish trad 🎶. Congratulations to all our prize winners. Thanks to our social committee and to our bar volunteers who kept the Irish Cream and Guinness flowing and a huge congratulations to our staff who produced and served delicious home made chunky beef and Guinness pies with mash and mushy peas, followed by chocolate and Irish cream pannacotta. Wow.

This month's Mid Week Muso session was held on Wednesday afternoon. It followed on from our monthly Village Manager's Afternoon Tea as usual, but this time that flow-through was much more obvious! Our Village Manager took to the stage with acoustic guitarist, Steve, to serenade our residents through happy hour. Thanks to our residents for coming along, tapping a toe, having a bit of a singalong and especially to those who hit the dancefloor ☕️🕺🎶

Love is in the air! ❤️ Our Valentines Day dinner last night was spectacular. Every shade of red was on display. A delicious meal, beautiful decorating, romantic raffle prizes and that room full of red created a fitting Valentine vibe. As always, thank you to our social committee and to Team BGE for creating the perfect event. Happy Valentines Day 🌹❤️💝

What a morning! A very big thank you to all those residents who hosted stalls, organised or took part in activities, assisted with morning tea prep, service and clean up, performed concierge duties and to those who brought along guests to experience the friendship and the vibe that is BGE 🙏. We appreciate you.

While our Christmas celebrations were the focus of our December calendar, there was one last fabulously fun event to close out the year and we now have the pics at hand. An old fashioned self catered smorgasbord on New Years Eve preceded, wait for it, a resident run Karaoke night! 🎤🎶 It looks like an absolute hoot. There are some snippets of video too which we will pop in the comments... and for which we apologise in advance 😉.
