Love is in the air! ❤️ Our Valentines Day dinner last night was spectacular. Every shade of red was on display. A delicious meal, beautiful decorating, romantic raffle prizes and that room full of red created a fitting Valentine vibe. As always, thank you to our social committee and to Team BGE for creating the perfect event. Happy Valentines Day 🌹❤️💝

What a morning! A very big thank you to all those residents who hosted stalls, organised or took part in activities, assisted with morning tea prep, service and clean up, performed concierge duties and to those who brought along guests to experience the friendship and the vibe that is BGE 🙏. We appreciate you.

While our Christmas celebrations were the focus of our December calendar, there was one last fabulously fun event to close out the year and we now have the pics at hand. An old fashioned self catered smorgasbord on New Years Eve preceded, wait for it, a resident run Karaoke night! 🎤🎶 It looks like an absolute hoot. There are some snippets of video too which we will pop in the comments... and for which we apologise in advance 😉.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!🎄 Last night our Christmas Dinner was attended by over one hundred of our residents who were greeted by a room of festive reds and greens, a scrumptious dinner, massive multi draw raffle, a visit from the big man himself 🎅 and music to get those toes tapping. Even a power outage wasn't enough to quash the festive spirit. It gave us a chance to admire the candlelight and finish our dessert then the lights came on, the music kicked in and we hit the dancefloor 🕺
Many thanks to our Social Committee who made the room look so spectacular and to our team who had a big day, starting out with a BBQ brekky and ending with a truckload of clean up.

What a super busy day that was... Bridge, fitness group, kelly pool, carpet bowls, Christmas craft workshop, music galore, Christmas stalls and afternoon tea 🎄♠️🧶🛍🎱☕️🎶🕺

Today, we pause to remember and honour the brave men and women who served, and continue to serve, our country. Their courage, sacrifice, and dedication have secured the freedoms we cherish every day.

At 11am we take a moment of silence to reflect on their service.

Did you have a win today? 🏇
We all felt like we were on a winner at today's Melbourne Cup Luncheon with raffles, lucky door draws, the trifecta comp, prizes for best dressed and sweepstakes galore. Plenty of opportunity for a win! 🏆
Add a beautifully set function room, delicious menu, lots of laughter and the clinking of glasses and it was indeed an event to remember. 🌸🥂
