Congratulations Lorraine!🎉

Current Mater Christi and former Marian Grove Resident Lorraine Kaemphel has been honoured as Coffs Coast Senior Citizen of the Year 2026.

Taking up dancing aged 70, for thirty years she has performed with the Julie Ross Dancers at venues around Coffs Coast.
Having celebrated her 101st birthday in November, Lorraine plays an active role in the life of Mater Christi.

Lorraine will be recognised at an afternoon tea in Mater Christi on Tuesday 3rd February.

Project Compassion is Caritas Australia’s main annual fundraising campaign. During Lent (between Ash Wednesday and Easter) it mobilises Australians to raise much-needed funds to help alleviate poverty, promote justice and uphold dignity in the most vulnerable and marginalised communities in the world.

Project Compassion is an extraordinary demonstration of the faith, empathy and generosity of our supporters. It is the lifeblood of Caritas Australia; without it, we could not do the vital work that we do.
